Goofy, Funny, Smart
It's less a podcast about Keanu himself and more about the movies Keanu happens to be in, and it's awesome. Every episode has a ton of energy and the Brorpies are hilarious. They also have great guests. It's a wonderful balance of goofing off with legitimately smart, thoughtful film analysis. Like hanging out with a group of film-loving friends who aren't, like, pretentious about it.

Love the show
Love this podcast! Started listening cause someone in a Facebook group I’m in suggested it to me cause I had just watch the first two Bill and Ted movies for the first time and I’ve been slowly trying to listen and catch up as much as I can. And now the new bill and Ted movie is out so it’s great to hear their thoughts on it. Keep up the great work :)

Hilarious
Love this podcast. The Torpeys are hilarious and Patrick ties it all together with great insight.

A Nurse driving to and from work...
Before COVID I took the train to work and watched YouTube, now I drive to work and find myself ditching all that wholesome NPR, This American Life stuff for this goofy ass gem of a podcast. After a hard night’s work, listening to these dudes ramble on feels like throwing on that ratty hoodie you’ve had since high school. It’s cozy, barely hanging on, but stitched together with love. To Messrs. Torpey, Torpey, & Willems: Don’t get cocky, but whenever you’re in doubt, just remember that your work brings a glimmer of joy into some medical professional’s life. HOLD FAST

#VeryGoodPodcast
I started listening to this podcast because it features my #VERYGOODFRIEND Patrick H. Willems. But the added bonus of the Bropeys slowly driving Patrick insane over the course of this series has kept my interest piqued. Will Patrick descend into madness and murder the Brother Torpeys as we all expect him to? Or will Patrick rise like a phoenix out of this nightmare and be reborn like Keanu Reeves’ career? There’s only one way to find out.

3 brothers with film degrees
Experience what it’s like to have 3 younger brothers with film degrees. Matt, Jake, and Patrick perfectly recreate the experience of having your younger siblings ramble at you about inane nonsense while you try and get work done. You love them and they have some genuinely insightful thoughts about film, acting, josh, keanu etc. they might be a little annoying but their niche interests are cute and you want to support them. Sometimes they even have friends over. They can be annoying at times, but luckily they are also very easy to tune out which is helpful when you need to actually focus on something. As a current art student, I like having something to listen to while working, and also relive my life back at home with 3 younger siblings. Keep up the good work boys.

So freakin good
I’ve never been a huge Keanu fan, but for some reason this podcast has become essential listening for me—probably because the guys and their occasional guests are just so engaging and funny. They have the same sort of digressive humor you find on Jordan Jesse Go or The Flophouse, but they’re more a movie podcast than a comedy podcast about movies. It’s impossible to describe what makes this show so wonderful so you’ll jus have to listen for yourself, okay?????

Don’t be afraid to listen if you haven’t seen all the movies
This is the only movie podcast I listen to where I haven’t seen most of the movies and don’t plan to. Many of the movies are very bad but Patrick, Jake, and Matt watch them for you and Patrick struggles to keep everyone on topic, but the off-topic stuff is really great too. I know I’m not the first to say this, but come for Patrick, stay for the Torpeys.

Bard Stories, Can Confirm
i can confirm gita’s bard stories on the johnny mnemonic episode, my boyfriend went to Bard for a semester and did literally every drug but meth. we still make fun of some of the people who went there (we call ‘em “bard spawn”). anyways, gita was great, this podcast is great, keanu is great, keep doing what you’re doing.

gimme more o dem TORPS BAYBEEE
pat you’re a good guy and everything and i’m sure you mean well, but dem torps is where it’s at. the brorpeys are the #1 comedic duo on the podcast soundwaves right now. these brothers should consider shedding the dead weight of melville willems and branch off into their own side endeavors. jk love u pat hehe keep being the best for real though, i can say that i have listened to each episode of this podcast at least twice and over my more than 28,000 minutes of listening to podcasts this year according to spotify, can’t get enough of keanu/we heart hartnett has been the #1 go to podcast for me. you guys are hilarious and insightful, and i am glad that you are in my life. thanks guys!

Patrick and The Torpys, a combo for the ages.
I love Keanu as much as the next person, but the true delight in this podcast is listening to Patrick try to get the Torpy Brothers to stay on topic.

That dude
I feel bad for the guy that hates the Brothers Torpey. I have loved Patrick and his videos for years, his video explaining how to start making movies helped me start learning the craft. But, Jesus, do the brothers make me laugh way harder than anyone I have ever listened to. Literally the best podcast you can listen to. Woah.

This is a great show
This is a great show. Hopefully by the time anyone reads this, Patrick will have uploaded the complete episode of Johnny Mnemonic—instead of one that cuts out at the 47 minute mark, and it can go back to being a show that deserves no criticism. But seriously, I love this show, keep up the good work.

A friggin riot
The Torpey Brothers have a hell of a vibe to them. I end up just cackling to myself as they steer the podcast away from Patrick and he is forced to reign them back in on occasion—only for the script to flip and one of the bros hit ya with a really well thought out point of discussion. It’s a great balance of Big Goober Energy and solid film analysis/criticism. Or maybe the podcast is the friends we made along the way. (Keanu talk is really just a bonus) Genuinely though, I am always amped to see more of this in my podcast feed. Very funny, and the longer episodes dedicate time to lengthy convos in and outside of the focused film of the week. Heck yeah.

Can’t Get Enough
Literally my favorite podcast right now. Never ceases to put a smile on my face and make me laugh out loud. Patrick, Matt, and Jake have the most amazing chemistry and make the podcast what it is. I would listen to them talk about anything. More people should listen to this podcast.

LOVE DOZE TORPS
commenters talkin crizap about the torps can get outta town. Love willems, he’s great, he’s a great funny snobnerd order muppet keeping it drivin but those torps raise up the chaos. Listening to this show is like having friends who also love Keanu as much as I do. I look forward to it each week for the Keanu and the offshoots of the Yanu. I leave the podcast with a list of movies I’d forgotten about or never heard of... love this work, love this work that celebrates the reeves work. And I love my review that celebrates the work that celebrates the reeves work

Entertaining but not Work Appropriate
Edited to Add: The podcast can NEVER be too long. Three hours. Five hours. Go for it. Never end. This podcast can never be too long. I work in an environment where it is generally encouraged to have music, radio programs, or podcasts playing to help the workers endure the long shifts and so the clientele don’t heard weird silence when they happen to come round. So I tend to listen to variety of entertainment news channels and odd podcasts. I follow Patrick (H) Willems youtube channels so of course when I saw that unreasonably funny musical sketch, I was sold before I knew what I was in for. I honestly just play that announcement video periodically for a quick laugh. Obviously from an off-the-cuff, nonscripted podcast format it is not quite the polished critique or review style prevalent in Willems popular video essays—particularly the intermittent theatrics where Willems utilises filmmaking and narrative techniques within his essays themselves for more dynamic & engaging videos. As fun as it would be if he were to put the same ridiculous effort into making unique podcast experience, the informal conversations of the films—wild tangents barely relevant to the topic at hand included—are in fact entertaining and interesting. The brothers bring an enthusiasm and absurdity that I personally find a nice offset for Willems more academic, structured, and informative contributions. They create a balance of light hearted banter, ridiculously unfunny and so consequentially hilarious rants, and interesting facts and trivia that makes it a pleasure to listen to. My only qualm is that they have potty mouths and humour. Which would be fine, only the one rule for work is no swearing or highly inappropriate topics—all of which they manage into each episode with a greater zeal than any discussion on Keanu Reeves or the immediate film in question in any given episode. So of course, this is one of those podcasts I have to time just right during our downhours when it’s highly unlikely any client or supervisor is likely to be visiting. Nothing like explaining why you’re listening to three grown men discuss little girls masturbating to stuffed animals (Toy Story 4 episode) or any other bizarre turn their podcasts takes. Always an adventure. Highly recommend.

More Homestar References Please
This has been my favorite podcast since the We Heart Hartnett days. It is in the small group of podcasts I have trouble listening to at work due to constantly having to stifle my laughter (lest I appear insane to those around me). Come for fun and intelligent movie discussions, stay for the goofs ‘n’ grins provided by the Brothers Torpey. This show also has a higher concentration of Homestar Runner references than perhaps any other podcast in existence, which makes middle school-aged me very happy. (P.S. I was re-listening to the Girl Walks Into a Bar ep of WHH, and I really hope y’all follow through on releasing a “Roll Creedits” t-shirt at some point)

Literally painful to listen to
The core idea of this podcast is interesting. Breaking down every movie in an actor’s career could be interesting. Willems has a good YouTube channel that has thoughtful, fun break downs on several movies and concepts. That’s not what this podcast is. This is a podcast of 3 people sometimes with guests that watch a movie, occasionally talk about it for a few minutes and improv nearly 2 hours of not funny jokes and stories that are sometimes, but not often, tangentially related to the movie. The latest episode (Bogus Journey) starts with the podcasters eating food on mic. It’s like they’re actively running an experiment of how much they can torture their audience before they finally give up and stop listening.

Great content, just wish they'd get to it
Love the discussion of Keanu's movies. Love the banter between the hosts, and the struggle it must be to wrangle everyone to have anything like a coherent conversation. Wouldn't mind a time code for when the actual movie discussion began, though.

Patrick is great...
If this didn’t have the Torpeys this would be 5 stars.

New favorite podcast
I’ve been keeping up with Can’t get enough of Keanu and going through we heart Hartnett and I can’t get enough of either. Listening to Patrick Matt and Jake talk about Keanu and whatever else comes up along the way is the highlight of my week!

turns landscaping job at cemetery into a somewhat enjoyable job. Thanks.

Oops! All Brorpeys
Look, Willems is great and all but he probably doesn't have a single Vero account. If this podcast needs anything, it's less Keanu and more Brorpeys. Just add one every few episodes and no one will even notice.
StevieT_84
Big fan of Pat and the Torpey brothers
Really enjoying their banter no matter the topic. Have learned that I need to be wary of drinking while listening as I may laugh while swallowing which could either kill me or send me back in time to the 1950s where I meet my parents but they’re little kids so it’s just awkward and I don’t know a disgraced nuclear scientist so I’m stuck there but hey the 1960s are right around the corner and then I’ll buy Apple stock on day 1 in the late 1970s so I’ll be ok. Anyway, listen to this podcast to learn all about Keanu’s filmography from three very funny guys that love him as much as we all do! Because we are all breathtaking.

An instant fav!
I was a huge fan of We Heart Hartnett! This is the perfect spiritual successor. I adore these boys and the nonsense they get into. I love this chat about all things Keanu and more. Thank you for this ridiculousness. It’s perfect. Just like Patrick, Jake and Matt! ❤️

Going out upon a limb
Patrick Willems is nice, but have you ever let the Brothers Torpey just go wild? The ageless one deserves our time and attention and this trio is giving him his due. The Keanuassance is real, and we must submit to his glory or else face extinction*. (Current geopolitical and environmental factors excluded) It’s a fun time and I think you should be listening to it.

Frustrating and Annoying
I guess I'm the only person who finds the Torpey Bros unbearable. I came to this podcast based on the strength of Patrick Willems' YouTube videos. Willems' gives smart, insightful analysis and interpretations of film, and I've enjoyed everything he's posted. And I've been a Keanu Reeves apologist for decades. So imagine my excitement in finding out that Patrick has a podcase series dedicated to covering every single film of KR's career! Excitment quickly crashed and burned, and transformed into annoyance and disappointment. For whatever reason, Willems has decided that having two people deeply convinced of their own comedic genius and whom derail the conversation at every conceivable point was the best way to do this. In listening to the John Wick episode, in the first 30 minutes, there were - perhaps - a grand total of maybe 12 minutes of conversation about the actual topic. The rest of the time was spent listening to the Torpey Bros interrupt Willems, laugh at their own lame fake movie titles, and so on. In addition, the Torpey Bros (at least in the 45 minutes of the episode I listened to) are far, far inferior in their cinematic analytic capabilities and knowledge compared to Willems. Deeply disappointing. I'm actually kind of envious of those who can listen to this and find it worth your time. I'm not going to subject myself to it beyond the portion of the episode I've already wasted time on.

Come for Keanu and Patrick, stay for Matt and Jake
This podcast is at all times a testament to the comedic genius that are The Brothers Torpey. Every week they brighten my day with some bonkers insane joke or comment or poor impersonation that is a joy to listen to. Keanu may be the one, but the future lies in Jake and Matt.

Seriously? EVERY movie?
I love this idea, never listened to the Hartnett podcast, but I’ve been aware of Patrick H Willems for about a year now and I love his content. This podcast is tedious and you guys get way off topic, but it’s so fun listening to these guys talk about a movie that Keanu Reeves has a role in. If you’re reading this, Patrick, may I suggest the next actor you make a podcast about: COLIN FARRELL. He is my personal favorite actor and his story is very interesting. COLIN FARRELL COLIN FARRELL COLIN FARRELL COLIN FARRELL COLIN FARRELL COLIN FARRELL.

Already a lot of episodes.
For a just-recently founded Keanu filmography retrospective podcast there are an awful lot of episodes covering Josh Hartnett. It’s like some sort of Kansas City Shuffle.

Funny but Edit
Fun personalities but needs editing. Way too much of 2 hour John Wick episode veers off topic.

We ❤️ Keanu
It’s Patrick Willems and the Torpeys talking about Keanu Reeves movies. What more do you need?

Funny easy listening
Every episode listen to the Brothers T riff amazing jokes off each other and listen to Patrick say, wow that was funny, here are some movie facts. Love listening to it casually, low commitment high entertainment. (The eating by the mic is gross though)

I Heart This Podcast
Probably the hardest I've laughed during a podcast. At first glance I was confused by the choice of Heartnett but now I'm a fan.

Stop eating.
You should all listen to this it is amazing and Patrick W. Has a great YouTube channel. I SWEAR TO GOD THOUGH....listening to people eating on mic made me want to reach through my headphones and break the face of which ever of the T brothers was eating. Just don’t do it....ever...again. Keep making podcasts and videos Though! I love all three of you.

They will pose such questions as; why isn’t josh in the new Halloween movie? can a war film truly be anti war? Why Josh turned down the role of Batman and could he play the caped crusader yet? And will Josh come on the podcast? And what comes after they watch josh’s latest film? Another journey through another actor’s filmography, Who’s? Only they know. But it all started with Josh. Unparalleled Delight
In a world dominated by alarmist news broadcasting, bleak political events, and natural disasters, this plucky trio of amateur film critics knew that only one man could tip the scales from chaos to order, from defeat to victory, from despair to hope: Hartnett. Brought to you by Pat, Matt, and Jake, the hardest working team in contemporary multimedia film criticism, We Heart Hartnett is a freewheeling journey through the landscape of modern American cinema via the career of film personality Joshua Daniel Hartnett. The trio, by virtue of their earnestness and levity, transform their apparently inane and trivial subject matter into an in-depth and often laugh-out-loud hilarious scattershot exploration of shifting cultural tropes, film history, the film-making process, and so much more. Humorous, unpredictable, and intelligent, Pat and The Brothers Torpey have created a podcast, characteristic of their other content, that I find truly and deeply meaningful.

I love this podcast so much I redownloaded iTunes and subscribed just to write a review. If you have ever wondered what goes on behind the mask that is Josh Hartnett's mysterious eyebrows, this is the podcast for you. If you have ever wanted to experience the movie you haven't watched on your Kill Shot/ Hollywood Homicide double feature DVD this is for you. Consider yourself royalty as Pat and The Brothers Torpey taste the possibly poisoned food of hollywood, then regurgitate it to you in podcast form. For those of you dreaming for the day you can experience Here on Earth, in addition Town and Country without going blind your dream has come true. Just make sure you wear tight pants when you listen because your Hart-On will be untameable.
