I am glad I finally found this well balanced podcast! I listened to another podcast previous to this about how to parent without punishments or consequences and it was making life very miserable in our house (I would recommend staying away from those type of podcasts). This podcast is great because he doesn’t say don’t do those things, instead, he focuses on connection, remaining calm, self control as a parent, and finding the root cause of misbehavior; however, when done in a calm manner, punishments are still necessary and relevant in parenting. We are never going to be the parents who just don’t punish or correct our kids, and that was making everything worse in our house! This podcast helps me to focus on staying calm and focusing on connection, which in turn results in better behavior from our kids. I highly recommend this podcast.

I get something out of every single episode and it has changed our family for the better!

This podcast has been very helpful in dealing with my strong willed 5 year old! I’ve been working through the courses as well (thanks for keeping them so affordable and easily accessible). I really love the real life examples on the podcast, even of parents not doing it perfectly. It really helps to know none of us are going to parent perfectly but there is grace in learning!

I listened to about 20 minutes across two episodes, and that is all it took to realize that this guy has no experience with a kid who has to be asked six times to brush his teeth over the course of an hour, for just one example of how a kid could not listen to a calm, non-anxious parent. It’s not always the parent’s fault.

This is the most helpful parenting podcast I have come across (and I listen to a lot)! Kirk gives practical examples, scripts, and tangible ideas of how to respond to our kids in a variety of situations. The short format helps keep the concepts fresh in my mind for when these situations come up in real life. So thankful for this podcast and these resources!

I've listened to hundreds of parenting podcasts. This one has been the most helpful by far! I have two daughters with ADHD and Dyslexia. I’m using his tools for handling school refuse and anxiety and THEY WORK!

I’m very happy to find information that can actually help me dealing with parenting. However I decided to send an email to Casey using a link from the website and the email was rejected.

My husband and I have been listening to him for quite a few years now. We have also purchased his programs which are very good and very helpful. So thankful for what you do Kirk and how you help me feel like I am not the only parent struggling! It is so important to listen to his programs and really take it all in and retrain your mindset with your kid. It is a constant thing you need to do daily so you can change your perspective with your child. I am just so thankful for coming across his podcast many years ago and just appreciate all that you do Kirk!!

What an exceptional podcast for shifting perspectives about parenting - especially when you’re having a difficult time as a parent. Kirk’s compassionate outlook toward grace for yourself, as a parent, and toward your kids changes the game. He does a great job of normalizing conversations around anxieties and the weirdness of life. And he does a great job of bringing in humor, love, and practical strategies, giving you full permission to accept what is.

Allowing my SWC to do “adult” things like getting the TV on a channel for all of us to watch made him feel empowered and happy. My husband and I had a great weekend with our compliant child and our strong-willed thanks to this podcast. Thank you for helping to love my children and to learn to regulate myself!

His courses give actionable and attainable steps to improving your relationship with your strong willed child. I’ve recently started these lessons and the improvements are unmeasurable. (No, I’m not being paid to write this review, nor was I asked to. His lessons are just this dang good!) I love that this entire family is so accessible, competent and kind. If you do one thing this year to improve your relationship with your strong willed child it would be in your best interest to choose this. There is so much great content and he makes it so user friendly. Me having stumbled upon this podcast has been such a blessing! I love everything about this podcast and Celebrate Calm. I have been listening to his “everything package” and wowza it has upped my parenting game 1000%! I am forever grateful for the wisdom and insight found within these lessons and his ability to break it down into easy to digest lessons for the busy and struggling parent! 5 stars for sure!

I really love the tools that this podcast offers. But you have to listen to so many advertisements in order to get to his message. I get that adds help fund the show but it’s pretty distracting. That’s my feedback.

So I want to really like this podcast, but I feel like the podcaster is really worked up and almost yelling. Perhaps it’s just passion, but it’s sort of a stressful listen. I’d like to get the same information but maybe a less aggressive tone.

I like the info. I’ve been listening for a short while. I think the content is good. I’m a bit put off by the heavy sales pitch. It shouldn’t be necessary. Even the ad jammed in the middle to plug a sponsor was jarring. Like it came out of nowhere. You don’t need to sell so hard. It’s off-putting. I feel like I just walked into a car dealership on weekend.

I love this podcast, I am so grateful for Kirk's wisdom and expertise. Kirk is funny, direct and informative - he conveys concepts in a way that makes sense, and I'm feeling encouraged as I listen to each session.

This is my first ever podcast review, because this podcast has meant that much. After listening to Kirk for the first time being interviewed on someone else’s podcast, I picked my son up from school, and he told me he had yet another detention. I was able to turn a time that could have ended in disconnect and shame into a time of love and connection and learning. I will forever be grateful for the integrity, honesty, and candid genuine supportive advice.

Best podcast on parenting I’ve come across. No nonsense, straight to the point. No shame. Really good stuff. Also, he says you can email him, so I did. Sure enough, he wrote back with a personal and in-depth email. What a legend. 10/10.

If you have neuro atypical kids, listen NOW. My son has ADHD and ODD and this podcast will teach you techniques you can use immediately to help them (and you, yourself) to deal with the many day-to-day challenges that arise when parenting these bright, wonderful kids. My son has even listened to one or two with me and has said “is he talking about me?” Which is of course the same reaction I had upon listening to the very first episode. Do yourself a favor and listen. And if you implement these things your life (and your kids lives) will improve.

Let me start by saying I’ve NEVER written a review for a podcast. I’ve listened to podcasts for almost 8 years and have never written on one. This is the one! I’m blown away! We have paid therapists and tried medication and pray continuously for our kids. This podcast is the most straight foreword, tangibly helpful, inclusive and inspiring parenting podcasts I’ve ever listened to. We are purchasing the full plan without a doubt!

My husband and I are grateful to have discovered your podcast. We listened to a few episodes when we got away for a weekend and we felt understood, less guilty, motivated, and we felt encouraged that we were already implementing some things so we weren’t completely off base. We’ve already put some tips into practice since returning a week ago and they’ve been 100% successful every time. Mind blowing. Thank you for your help. We will continue to listen for more!

Life and Family Changing!!!

My brain is being re-wired with each podcast. Immediate, practical, down to earth insight and advice. Kirk is a straight shooter who also is humble! I cannot say enough great things about this podcast and how much it has helped my family, especially a son that has a disability. Thank you!!!!

This podcast has changed the way our house operates. I was too soft before. Not enough boundaries and eventually I’d flip to the other extreme and lose my temper. It wasn’t working for anyone. Kirk has taught me how to lovingly put my foot down when needed. Every episode leaves me with an aha that I use in real life. Thank you, Kirk, for all the help.

Love this podcast. Very practical and straight-forward. I don’t understand why the reviewer on Feb 10,2024 thinks he “picks on” homeschoolers. That listener must not realize Kirk speaks at homeschool conventions and has been a guest on homeschool podcasts, and was a homeschooler himself. Previous episodes from early 23/24 school year were even specifically about this and completely resonated with me as a homeschooling mom myself.

Super great podcast!!! Please don't pick on homeschoolers though. we are definitely not all the same, just like public schoolers aren't...and we are doing the best we can🤣

We found Kirk at a homeschool convention and it was by far the best experience there. We have not one but 3 strong willed kids 16-8 and over the years we have leaned so much and continue to grow and apply as much as we learn. This is such fundamental parenting no tricks or long books just straight real world examples on how to best connect with your kids for a healthy, loving long lasting relationship. We think we need to change our kids but a lot of it is inner work and how we see our strong willed children, so we can find the best approach for building a strong respectful relationship between family. So so worth every minute!

No book, no counseling, no “friendly advice” helped with our strong-willed child until we found Kirk’s program and this podcast.

This podcast has literally changed my parenting and my relationship with my “strong-willed” child. It has helped me to understand my child better and to understand how best to discipline him. The best part is…IT WORKS! Everything he says is SPOT ON for parenting a child with ADHD. While all of this is great, his podcast has made me realize that I am actually a great parent, I just didn’t know the best ways to parent him. I love the way that Kirk never puts parents down, but instead gives advice that can easily be applied to real life advice. I chuckle out loud while listening to the podcast because nearly every episode he monologues a scenario between a strong-willed child and their parent and it’s as though he’s been a fly on the wall in my own home! I listen to several parenting podcasts just to renew my mom heart. This podcast is my favorite for practical, real situation, advice. I love how he says “expect this behavior” and “stop being so shocked!” but he actually helps us with how to do that. I have even emailed them several times and they respond so quickly. I recommend this podcast to every parent I know.
