Calling All Humans is a podcast series looking at how we can collectively transform the world.
The Rise Of Mutual Aid
Calling All Humans is taking a look at the positive impact grassroots action has produced during the COVID-19 outbreak. As the global pandemic is consistently mishandled by the UK government, we look at how mutual aid movements have risen within communities to attend to people’s needs and offer a sense of togetherness. This episode we take a look at the mutual aid zine ‘Lockdown Bristol’, which CoResist contributed an article towards. We include an interview with Bethany Morton who put together the zine, which includes articles from the Ad Block, Black Lives Matter, Herbalists Without Borders, Bristol Carer’s Network, Acorn and many more. You can find the zine at https://tinyurl.com/yan7vbyd

ZAD: The Diversity Of Resistance
Calling All Humans continues with its European tour! This episode features Danny speaking with Jay Jordan about the ZAD (Zone à défendre) à Notre-Dame-des-Landes, a successful occupation that defeated the planned building of a new airport. We hear and reflect upon Jay Jordan's first-hand account of their decade long battle at the ZAD à Notre-Dame-des-Landes. We give particular focus to the diversity of resistance on display, as farmers, artists, activists and many others came together in their victorious campaign.

The Laboratory Of Insurrectionary Imagination
Calling All Humans hits the road on its European tour! This episode we pop across the channel to meet with the Laboratory of Insurrectionary Imagination to learn more about they approach direct action through art. Infamous for fermenting mass disobedience on bicycles during the Copenhagen climate Summit, touring the UK recruiting a rebel clown army, and launching a rebel raft regatta to shut down a coal fired power station, the Laboratory of Insurrectionary Imagination sees no separation between art and activism, ethics and aesthetics.

Mobilising For Climate Action
Calling All Humans takes a look at the rapid growth of the climate justice movement in recent years. We explore why the climate justice movement has suddenly gained so much momentum in the past few years. We start by interviewing attendees at a Bristol Youth Strike 4 Climate march before attending an Extinction Rebellion talk in Easton, Bristol. At the talk we meet with XR member Rosa, who participated in one of the more memorable XR protests in the past couple of years.

The Magic Moneytree
Each episode the Calling All Humans team engage with individuals and groups attempting to enact systemic change in the world. This episode considers how money is not an object but in fact a social relationship. If, as David Graeber suggests, money has made it possible for us to ‘imagine ourselves in the way economists encourage us to do: as a collection individuals and nations whose main business is swapping things’, then how might we use art to imagine economics and ourselves differently? This is what we talk about with this weeks guest, conceptual artist and PhD researcher, Lara Luna Bartley. We also play some clips from the talk CoResist hosted with Lara by Tony Greenham, who is currently setting up regional banks in an effort to change the economic landscape in the UK.

Make Ecocide Law
Each episode the Calling All Humans team engage with individuals and groups attempting to enact systemic change in the world. This episode considers the campaign to make Ecocide recognised by international law. ECOCIDE is the mass damage or destruction of natural living systems.
