Skyler and Preston felt like it was time to stand up. It’s become pretty common to hear of Latter-day Saints who are supposed influencers sharing messages full of grace and love but forgetting to supplement it with the truth of God’s word. Do you know how every now and then you attend a meeting at church that just blows your mind?! The messages are just exactly what you need and the spirit is just overflowing?! Well that happened to me this past Sunday and I want to share what I learned.

After 20 years I was able to jump on a video call with my missionary trainer, and I was surprised when he started to retell one of the most impactful stories of my mission that I thought only I remembered. He started telling me my loaves and fishes story.

The example of Thomas B. Marsh is even more relevant today as we consider those online who claim to be members of the church but want to do nothing but cast shade on its purpose and mission. My daughter Sara was able to receive her endowment this past week and her reaction to having to wear the garment was pretty spectacular. My wife and daughter were able to receive some beautiful instruction in the temple about the garment, being reminded that it is the only tangible thing that you take with you outside of the temple into the world as a reminder of the things you have learned and covenanted.
