I ask a good number of big name people to come on the other show, Play Comics. Most of them get back to me. But do they owe me anything? And how is that effected by living in a world where the internet can quickly change the popular opinion of someone who's livelihood depends on people liking their work enough to pay money for it?

Lunch break is a sacred thing. Why do people insist on talking to me during my lunch break? I'm about ready to start going out to eat again every day just to get away from this.

I love wrong numbers. Not really, because when they happen at work it's almost always because someone thinks they got a call from me and they're calling back to see why I'm calling them.
But why? This makes no sense to me at all. Does it make any sense to you? And why don't they believe me when I say who I am? It's all just weird.

I'm old. So old that in school we were taught how to use email. Yeah, I'm ancient.
So anyway, they actually taught us in school to never ever ever use Reply All and it bugs the mess out of me because there are times where i's the proper move.
So yeah, I'm a cranky old man and Cranky Kong is my role model/life goal.

If you're creating something then you have an audience. They listen to you for a reason. And I hope that in these crazy times you're keeping your creating habits going because your audience wants to hear from you. Or see what you're doing. That part all depends on what kind of stuff you're creating.

Earlier today someone pretty much cemented their place on the list of people who will never come on Play Comics. Right now there are 3 people on the list.
A person who decided to just not pay his artist for a Kickstarter comic and to not send out physical things to backers
A pair of people who kept not getting back to me, and then wanted me to drop everything to record an episode to time out well with something they were releasing
So what does it take to get on this list for me? What kind of people won't make the list? Why do I care so much anyway?

Sometimes people just go crazy and decide they want to be on more podcasts than me. Which is fine, I don't hold grudges. Scottye Moore is one of those people. Seriously, the dude is trying to be on the most podcasts in a single year. Like EVER. And that's just insane. Listen in as two people who have literally never talked to each other before in their entire lives outside of Twitter messages sound like they've been friends for a long time.
If you want to hear more from Scottye then check out the BS Network or just follow on Twitter @Scottyemo. If you have a podcast maybe you should get him on it as well.

Sometimes it pays to just ask people to be on the show. Like here, where I asked Eric Henderson (formerly in the bands Splyt and Zeromind and currently making the podcast Zerocast) to come talk about his bands and what he’s been up to, and the weirdness of my relentless quest to find more of the wonderful music that I spent so long trying to find.
If you want to check out Splyt’s music then head over to this Reverb Nation page. Don’t look for them on PureVolume, that’ll just make you sad. Or maybe you’d rather check out What’s In Your Mind from Zeromind. But you really should check out Eric’s podcast Zerocast.

I’ve spend the past few days especially thinking about how easy it is for people to find things you’ve said or done and what kind of influence that can have on someone’s life. Especially when it’s something done 10 or 15 or 20 years ago.
Which is kind of a round about way of saying that next week I’ll be recording with Eric Henderson, former vocalist of Splyt from Splyt From the Internet fame and currently from Zerocast. Expect to be able to hear that in a few weeks, maybe even next week if the recording is clean enough.
