Great binge!
Really enjoying the story — just finished season 2. Suspenseful and chilling in places, but thankfully not a horror-fest. The acting is solid, and the production is professional.

Love the story, narration distracting.
Excellent intrigue, a world I find myself wishing was never ending. The dialogue is well done, the writing is superb. But the narration is a tough listen - every word is expressed with that half-question/confused/stuttering explanation type intonation and quickly became hard to concentrate on the moment. Regardless, I’m sticking with it because it’s a good story. I’d love this as a book, to be honest.

Excellent series!
This series had a very thoughtful and intriguing premise. The acting is superb and draws you in. I am on season 3 and am binge listening throughout my work week! I can’t wait for more from this production company.

Outstanding
This show had me hooked within five minutes and I started binge listening to all of them! Excellent production quality, fantastic voice actress and actor, eerie and engaging storyline that leaves you hanging and wanting more every episode. This is a stellar show. I will call it a show because podcast doesn’t do it justice. Solid work! Keep it up! And give me more!! Please!

Season 4? Yes please!
Bunker 8 stands out for its clear and focused storytelling. The narration style feels closer to an audiobook, which makes it easy to follow without relying on heavy sound design. You always know what’s happening, even as the plot builds across multiple threads. The characters are distinct, the dialogue is purposeful, and the pacing keeps things moving without getting confusing. It’s obvious the structure was planned carefully, which makes the whole experience smooth from start to finish. All seasons hold up, and it’s an easy re-listen while waiting for more. If you want a fiction podcast that tells a strong story without making you work to understand it, this one delivers.

Just don’t
Calling the voice acting in this podcast subpar is being generous. I’ve heard better delivery from grade schoolers. I love a good low budget sci-fi tale, but this is just bad. How they got so many ad sponsors is beyond me.

Hello Im your pilot
Ive never been to bunker 8 but beleive me, what happens at bunker 8 stays at bunker 8. Follow orders, do as you are told, and youll be fine! Look, the important thing to remember is to follow the protocol and things will be ok. Its easy sir, do as you are told and stay in line and you will get thru it! Lastly, just make sure you follow the protocol, whatever that may be, i dont know im just your pilot.... Was anyone able to make it past the first 2 minutes? This is just terrible.

Had potential
Narration is poor. Dialogue is poor. Even the inner monologue is poor. I was so damned frustrated because the story could have been so friggin good but the main character narration was so friggin bad. I don’t think he read the script even once before the final recording.
Non-cents.
Interesting Concept, Mediocre Execution
I’m a huge fan of fiction podcasts. Apple has been recommending this podcast to me for quite a while and I finally decided to listen. There are some interesting concepts in the story but it just never really delivers. The character development is all over the place. if you’re looking for something with a similar vibe that’s well written and well acted, listen to The White Vault.

Great podcast
Great work, guys!! Love listening to it. When is season 4 coming?!

Way to many ads
The story line is okay. Season 3 is hard to track… But 7+ minutes of ads in a 21-24 minute podcast, where ads come throughout the podcast is ridiculous. I spent just as much time skipping through ads as I did listening to it.

Really good!!
I start a lot of these and they’re very hard to stay with, but this really was so original. I loved it all the way through. I hope there’s a season four coming but man it kept me entertained.

Voice acting is subpar
It’s very clear that whoever the narrator is needs a little bit more experience. I’m trying to say this in the kindest way possible cause I hate when people rag on other people for something that they couldn’t do themselves, but there just wasn’t a lot of emotion and it felt like someone was reading a script

What’s happening?
Wtf happened between episode 3&4? End of 3 he’s in a hotel room and violet calls him. Then episode 4 he’s back in the bunker and it doesn’t explain how he got there
Ticklstik
“They” means multiple
It’s confusing as possible to call one being “they”! He, she, or it! Stop with this nonsense! It’s an audio drama. We need accurate descriptions.

Pretty good
In my opinion the first season was the best and the second was still decent but the third was not the best.
SpareElk87
Not quite
Concept had me on board initially. But the first episode was way longer than it should be. First scene contains a subtle erie warning. Cool, but then the character gives us the same message probably 10 more times. The when the protagonist is alone it’s “hmm something weird about that guys message. I wonder if this place is spooky and dangerous”. Better execution and this coulda been cool.

Bad bad bad
Bad in every level. Main voice actor is awful. Story is unbelievable. Weirdly written and paced.

Bad Writing
I listened to all three seasons (the only ones available at the time I write this review). It’s kind of a bummer because it’s such an interesting premise but the writing is so poor that the characters just don’t make sense. Their motivations contradict to a point that they don’t seem real at all. In addition, the voice acting is truly so strange that I thought it was purposeful at first and part of the mystery. It isn’t - just bad voice acting. The only reason I finished was that I was hoping the plot holes would make sense and be purposeful by season three. They are not. Don’t waste your time.

It’s great!
Love it!!

Not bad, decent!
But the main Protagonist contradicts himself in the story way too often. He will be in a situation where he needs to rush and he will just be inner monologing. And I’m screaming in my head like what are you doing?!

Lasted all of 15min
I was intrigued by the description but could only last 15min into the first episode. It very much felt like it was written by AI. The intro becomes extremely repetitive as if it’s expecting the listeners to only be paying half attention, and the setup makes little sense. The pilot tells the main character that he is there just to ferry him to the bunker and he’ll be getting a full briefing once inside but then proceeds to tell him everything like a badly written computer game cut scene. This completely destroys any tension or suspense about what’s going to happen. The main character also behaves and talks like he just came out of boot camp instead of a clandestine operative with multiple missions under his belt as they tell us. When your inaugural episode is this derivative and poorly constructed the only thing compelling me listen further is curiosity about how much more of a train wreck it will become.

Everyone’s a critic
Honestly I really do enjoy the story and the storyline. Everyone is complaining about the story being all over the place but this is season one, things are going to be all over the place, things won’t make sense because they’re building up the story. I do *slightly* agree with the aspect that the voice acting seems a bit off for a “hardened military guy” but also not every hardened military guy needs to have the same deep, gruff voice. Have an open mind and if you think you can do better, then do it! I can’t wait to listen to the next season and continue to unpack the mysteries of Bunker 8!

Great in theory
I have only listened to episode one and I can’t find the curiosity in me to listen to any more. Tis story is great in theory but the voice acting needs some work, specifically in portraying the character you are playing. For example, he’s supposed to be a hardened military guy but he just sounds like some dude that picked up a mic and said “yeah I can voice act”. For someone whose file is almost entirely redacted, you’d think he’d have some more critical thinking skills and less panic. This can be great. But the execution needs some refinement

More time
Shows concept was OK, but I think they need to be more time developed their story with coherent plot and a better script

Worst ad read ever!

The Room of Podfic
You can get some genuine laughs from the tortured writing, mediocre acting, and bad structural editing choices. The plot might hold some interest for you if you’ve either never seen Lost, or became so obsessed with Lost you would read lower-midgrade fanfic. The creators obviously have passion behind the work, and I hope they keep trucking away and improving their craft. An occasional audio design choice works well. This would benefit greatly from a more collaborative approach, though. The creator, writer, and star does not currently have the juice to juggle all these roles at once.

Very disappointing
One star for the premise, which was promising. The rest? Well, we’re told Jack is a hardened veteran who’s seen and done some seriously heavy stuff. But he doesn’t speak or think the way someone like that would. One moment he’s literally mopping up gore and the next he’shaving a panic attack about having said the wrong thing to Violet. Ah, Violet - anyone remember the Eliza therapy chatbot? That’s Violet, just throw in some ominous warnings about following orders. Those are the only characters in this story, and they don’t make sense.

Where to begin….
Ok, first off: you get one extra star for the premise. I binged all available episodes in hopes that some kind of sense would be made by the end, not happening. Main character was real repetitive and some voices didn’t match the age their characters was meant to be. Emotions didn’t make any logical sense and the love story was pretty unnecessary and unconvincing to boot. Should be re-written (if it was not written by AI in the first place)

Bunker 8
This show is all over the place, I’m completely lost on what’s going on. Season was really good, but now…… it’s very confusing.
POstal Papi
Clearly written by AI
I really want to like this but the writing is odd and disjointed. The voice acting is confusing and repetitive which made me REALLY dislike the main character. Also the emotional responses are unrealistic. For example, finding body parts is no big deal, but say something slightly awkward to a woman and have a melt down. This is one example of the pattern all throughout the story.

Good but needs some polishing
I can echo another review on here which said this show has an interesting concept but “needs some more time on the draft table”. I also agree with another critique that some noise to differentiate between thoughts & speech (which is rather standard with audio dramas nowadays) would be helpful. Overall it feels like something that was rushed out. Some more time passing to build the character’s interest would help - if he’s so into following rules to the point where he can ignore a lot of things, why does he break the biggest ones at the first opportunity, after just a few days? Greater descriptions would be helpful as well, it’s difficult to visualize what he’s seeing or where he is. I wanted this to be so good, and the concept is, but the little flaws keep it from really grabbing me.

“Page” turner!
I loved episode one and immediately clicked the second. The voice acting is convincing and the sound design is clean! Great storytelling.
Kasumi Sono
Interesting concept, lackluster delivery
The concept is interesting, and I will say I do respect the efforts of people who put themselves out to write and create and produce, and all the things, but this one needed a little bit more time on the draft table before production. It feels very AI generated, the dialogue and the narration of Violet. And the vibe from the main character, for being some special operations, super classified record, redacted, army guy, you’ve got no sense or feeling of that.

THIS IS SO CREEPY some review said that some podcast called white vault was creepier I’ll have to check it out
Five stars amazing 10/10
Started out bad, got very exciting, and then stopped making sense
I hated it when I started but it got better about halfway through season 1. Season 1 ends on a cliffhanger. Season 2 starts to “world build” and it makes no sense. I would recommend just listening to Season 1. It is a solid 3 stars.

Great Story
Awesome story we really need to support independent productions like this. Great job guys I look forward to more.

A minor suggestion
Please add some kind of effect on the "thoughts" to help differentiate between things being said aloud. Other than that, I enjoy the show a ton!

Could have been better
Story wise it has potential but VA and sound design they really dropped the ball. Feels sloppy

Great story and I’m looking for more! Great narration ! I’m a fan !
Extremely useful !!!
Really enjoyed the story!
Really interesting story, kept me intrigued and I look forward to more. However, it was really confusing at first with how it was being told. The main character constantly switched between narrating and just speaking his thoughts. It felt like I was listening to a story being told and listening to one as it was happening.

Ok, needs development
The premise has possibilities, but is ultimately silly, and clearly an unworkable setup for the scary part of the story. Listenable, sure. The dialogue needs a lot of work. It’s repetitive and attempts to be dramatic, without there being much basis for the drama.

season 3 ?
I didn’t think I’d love this as much as I did. It’s awesome and I’m glad I found it !

Intriguing Storyline but
An original, interesting and well-paced story that sets up many possibilities for future seasons. But the main actor (who also is the writer) unfortunately is not up to carrying the story. The portrayal is one dimensional; angst, anger, confusion and fear all sound the same - whiny.
Thoughts99
Abruptly ends.
Very nicely done, great quality. I found initial episodes slow and not engaging but eventually the story picked up and was very entertaining. And then, in the height of the action, … it abruptly ends. Just stops mid story. I hope that’s indicative of a second season but have found no evidence to that effect. If another season surfaces I may alter my review.
CBPersuasion
Ok
Story line reminded me vaguely of Wolf 359, but nowhere near as engaging. Listenable but too little substance in too many episodes.

Entertaining
Good story. Keeps you engaged. There are too many pre recorded ads.

Gripping plot/script needs a better flow
Great plot. Tense suspenseful, keeps you questioning. Main character Jack’s script often gets into irrelevant dialogue when the obvious does not get mentioned. Ex. Not once trying to find out what is coming out of the well during his dialogue with two other characters but instead seeking some sort of validation from them. He also doesn’t carry himself or think like a military vet with a record so top secret that it was all been redacted. I will go through a few more episodes to see where it’s going.

Entertaining
Just discovered this show, and I’m so drawn in to the story! There’s a good enough description to visualize the environment, and it’s creepy! Imagining being so far under ground! Yikes! Then all the creepy stuff going on, and this guy all by himself. Great eerie vibe!
