Long before when I was a seminarian and we sing at weddings, I feel so amazed with the promises husbands and wives exchange “to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.” Pope John Paul II said “in marriage reciprocity is essential as the very nature of love that is expressed by man and woman” I pray that husbands and wives realize their giftedness in the daily ordinariness of married life.
