I never had that magical connection people always talk about with my father, if anything we never shared a decent condition conversation heart to heart. At a time even we had a lot of differences growing up that created conflicts and issues for me to deal with in adulthood. Well, few nights before the new year's Eve my father and I shared one of my all time intimate talks with anyone really. The most interesting part is that the conversation started with one direction and ended in a whole different one altogether. I think what's mesmerizing about this particular conversation that he represented a lot of our old generations voice in a segment that is the dominant here in our Egyptian culture, and to hear it in a very peaceful truth way, I think it was worth the listen.
