Long Time Listener
I’ve listened to Buddhability since its inception. I enjoyed the former host’s manner and exceptional interviews. Truthfully for me Cassidy speaks much too fast and often interrupts the guests while they are trying to make a point. It’s the voice that does the Buddha’s work and frankly I find Cassidy’s voice a bit grating. I know it’s slander to criticize a fellow Buddha but I offer this as constructive. I hope she will perhaps reflect on how to improve her tone and rhythm. This is my humble opinion. I do respect the efforts of all involved in this noble cause for Kosen Rufu. Thanks ever so much!! Long interviews
I enjoy all your topics, but the interviews are too long; please keep them between 30 to 45 minutes. Sometimes it takes three attempts to finish an episode. Also, the moderator is good, but she needs to keep the questions simple and avoid dragging them out. In this era, young people might be discouraged from listening. Thank you for the great work you’re doing.

Uplifting
It’s so good. You know how you can have the best intentions of being a good person or having a good day, and just get thrown off really easily? Well I do. And this podcast helps me come back to the grounded experience of acknowledging my place in the greater human collective.

Speaking clearly
Overall I love this series. Really interesting content and great topics. I do find the frequent use of filler words ( “um”, “like”,you know”) excessive at times and distracting, which makes it hard to stay engaged so that sometimes I can’t finish the podcast, but I appreciate the insights and perspective.

The most empowering pep-talk
This show gives you the most empowering pep-talk you could get. Even when I think I can't really relate to the guest's story I find a gem in there that's just right for me

Always so encouraging!!!
I have been practicing Nichiren Buddhism since 2011. I am so grateful for these podcasts!!! They are always so encouraging. Even when I think one of the subjects doesn’t relate to me - it always does. This is such an amazing practice! I especially love the “short” episodes!! I love hearing people’s experiences but maybe even more I love when the narrator speaks more about the philosophy!!

Host is hard to respect and listen to
Many misplaced giggles at guests' comments that throw me off. A guest speaks about his experiences, and she throws out a laugh-it's very often inappropriate for the moment, as if she isn't really understanding her guest's input, and is feeling awkward. Her overuse of "like" "like" "like"--she's just really hard to listen to. I don't get anything from this podcast-the guests are very interesting, but the hostess is just out of place.

Honest and heart to heart conversations
I have heard each episode and eagerly wait for a new release. Members of SGI sharing their honest transformations, they undergo to achieve absolute happiness for self and also others in their environment. My favourite podcast as I learn and reflect so much from each episode.

Buddhability Still Got It
A year out from Daisaku Ikeda’s passing, the Buddhability team continues to bring the 🔥 I personally love the classic, narrative-driven one-on-one interview—it’s such an intimate way to delve into one person’s life and story (makes me think of Terry Gross on NPR! 🤍). Both Buddhability hosts have had their own engaging takes on the format—current host Cassidy has a great knack for asking questions that help frame a guest’s journey for non-practitioners. Thank you all for the inspiration—we love to see (and hear) it ! ⭐️

Has potential but…
I have only listened to a few episodes, but they have been hard to listen to. I know the host is trying to be engaging and show interest in the guest, but her interjections detract from the guest’s experiences. The best conversational-style interviews seem to be done with the intent to include the listening audience, but sometimes these conversations feel like the audience is more of a bystander. That seemed especially true of the previous host, but I only listened to one or two of those episodes, so maybe it changed along the way. The other podcast (Buddhist Solutions for Life’s Problems) is of a professional quality on par with other great podcasts and is one I could share with friends who are interested in Buddhism.

Distracting
The interrupting and moaning noises the host makes while Bora Colak is talking is so distracting that it is hard to listen to.

Cult warning!!!
These teachings are based on a cult that includes a real estate/for profit university scam. Their leader Ikeda is dead but they won’t admit it. They prey on vulnerable people. All the red flags. Look it up.

Anatomy of a Dream episode rocks!
As a longtime practitioner of this Buddhism, I love this podcast. The original host Jihii Jolly leaves big shoes to fill. She was always an incredibly insightful and talented interviewer with a warm and welcoming personality. She is greatly missed. The new host Cassidy Bradford really knocked it out of the park with the latest Anatomy of a Dream episode! Creatively edited and greatly informative and inspiring—especially for any newcomer to SGI Nichiren Buddhism!

Highly recommend to lift up focus
Hello, I appreciate the podcast because I am an international student, now, worker in the arts field. I moved from Ecuador in 2016 to study voice performance. I have moved from several states in the US for education and gigs. SGI came into my life when I was looking for my path in life. Last winter, I found this podcast and helped me to keep chanting and see my possibilities in a real and optimistic way. I would love to tell my story to encourage more people from small countries to follow their dreams.

The courage to challenge yourself:
Buddhism a philosophical system from India, generated by the first man who attained Buddhahood ( enlightenment ), Shakyamuni also known as Siddhartha Gautama, a prince of the Shakya tribe, who embarked in a very personal Deep journey to overcome the sufferings of birth, age, slickness and death; his life is the best example and the proof that we all, without exception, possess the Buddha Nature that Shakyamuni attained 2,500 years ago. Without a mentor like Ikeda Sensei and everything he has created ( his mentor’s dream, and his own vow: study materials, translation of those materials to many languages, centers for the community to gather, many Buddhists centers, and the example he set with his own life, regardless all the struggles he faced, like his diagnosis with tuberculosis and yet accomplish all what he has accomplish it’s been in my case a journey of self discovering by having the courage to challenge myself in all areas of my life, and to challenge myself has been the best way to recognize my weaknesses as well as my strengths. My deep gratitude for this refreshing and inspiring carrousel of experiences that says more than explanations, demonstrate the power of SGI Nichiren Buddhism. Thank you Sensei and the entire community of practitioners all over the world. To your absolute success and indestructible happiness. Juan Ibarra San Francisco, California. Great Hiway District. An excellent podcast to spread the life affirming philosophy of SGI Nichiren Buddhism; a very resourceful podcast with life transforming stories from common prople from all walks of life. the conductor is great, with the perfect balance in asking questions snd let the participant to elaborate in his/her own words the process of such inner transformation also known as Human Revolution. BRAVO fir this encouraging podcast for all the hard work behind and to all the practitioners that have participated and encouraged us with their victories over harsh circumstances. Thank yiu very much🙏❤️🙏

This is a Go To for Anyone
I’ve been listening to the podcast since it came out. It still is a go to for me when I need regrounding, recentering or encouragement. Definitely recommend, give a listen!

The previous format was better
These podcasts are great and feel more conversational however I just really miss the previous SGI USA podcast format - it was much more poignant and straight to the point. It also included separate excerpts and quotes from Sensei, different speakers/professionals within one episode. It was truly a listening experience. I also loved all the background music! 😢

Amazing podcast!
I wait for new episodes every week. It really is the most encouraging thing I can listen to over and over again. Specially while driving! Highly recommend it if you are new to the practice or just need some encouragement on a specific topic.

so relatable and down to earth
The conversations between Jihi and her guests are so down to earth while also explaining Nichiren Buddhism. Every episode has made me feel like I am right there with them or at one of our SGI meetings. This is a terrific podcast to recommend to anyone who is new to the practice. Jihi,in particular, is at the top of her game and sounds like any professional NPR show host.

Incredible podcast by SGI😊👍 - wish this is available in Japanese(and other languages)!!!
I’ve been practicing the Soka Gakkai buddhism since I was born in Japan for over 40 years. Now that I practice this Buddhism in the US, I was introduced to this podcast😊 This podcast covers ranges of topics that are well needed in this day in age. I appreciate SGI-USA creating this podcast and website, along with another podcast “Buddhist Solutions (for life’s problems)” which is also incredible! Please keep up the wonderful job you guys are doing - I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this podcast to anyone interested in Buddhism, as well as current practitioners of the SGI Buddhism and anyone going through various hardships in life 😌✌️ My only hope and wish is to have something similar in Japanese language available for those in Japan!!!

Easy listening but deep
I just started chanting again after 40 years (!) and I’m looking for understanding, encouragement, and connection. This podcast is very comforting—it helps me understand that I am not alone. It stirs my feelings, and activates my motivation for changing nam myoho renge kyo.

So glad this is here!
I’ve been practicing Buddhism with the SGI for ten years, and I’ve lamented the lack of high quality media. This podcast is awesome. It totally helps me connect with other stories and find ways to express my Buddhability and to create value in the world. 🙏🏻❤️🔥 Nam Myoho Renge Kyo!

I’ve been seeking this space
There are so many Buddhism podcasts and podcasts that center on the subject of Buddhism itself and it’s origins, but so few that are relatable and relate to modern topics and how to utilize this practice (SGI specifically) in order to put it to use, especially with the way that the world is now. Thank you for providing this space! And please keep providing it ✨

Elevating my life condition one episode at a time!
This is wonderful. I am so thankful that this podcast is around. It allows me to “study” while driving in my car or working on my laptop. It is truly elevates my life condition. This also allows, others to learn about Nichiren Buddhism in a way that they may relate to.

Thank you for Episode 7
This was really helpful for me.

Épisode 1-2-3
I’ve been practicing for 40 years and this is the best material I’ve heard from SGI for this modern world. I’ve already totally changed my chanting focus from « how can I change or overcome this » to « what kind of person do I want to be ». Living the vow so people around me will be curious to learn about Buddhism - or will be encouraged in their own Buddhist practice - through witnessing my behavior and who I am. Thank you for this amazing body of work you are producing.
