This week on BM, Jenn is stoned on her ditch weed pills and wants every one to join in on the fun (nobody wants to). Katie and Edward went to prom and give their full report on what goes on at a modern, post-covid, high school promenade dance. High school seniors aren't allowed to be romantic, slow dance or even get finger-blasted, 69'ed or otherwise by their one true love by the punch bowl anymore! While prom was weird back in the 1969, it turns out that it's still weird now. Nobody likes the music, nobody is allowed to be in love or attracted to people anymore, teens have dating anxiety and covid rates in Kent County are now over. Katie looked beautiful in her prom dress but Edward looked like dog crap. Luke was voted [class hall-roamer] two years in a row in high school and that may explain why he had to go to 69th grade. Maxwell had an excellent time at his prom, making his own fun at every opportunity, which is really what the prom is all about. Next, we talk about [Record Day] at Luke's store and the big releases that came out for [Record Times]. Just like many years, there were many customers that only wanted one thing and will never come back. Jenn brought the staff donuts and cut in line. She'll be back to 69 the owner and bring more donuts. Turned out that [T-Swift Day] was a good day overall. Jenn has been having problems with her $6,900 tooth and 'wedged' its way right out of her head. Thankfully the lasersharks are going to fix her gums and then we'll all have wobbly teeth. Jenn's poop corner makes a rare appearance on the show and she's now attempting to spell her own name starting with the letter 'J'. She's creating her own font! Katie and Edward had a very busy week with MuteMachine's graduation and prom and yard sign and peopling and 69'ing in Katie's hot dress. Jenn has a game for us this week involving some [quotists] with 69/69 odds of getting the answer correct. Jenn [aka Trixter Brutus] lays down some really bummer quotes and we get barely any right. Welcome to Part Two of our "Decades in Music" series with special guest, Amelia! Last week we delved into the 70's & 80's but we blathered just a little too much so we had to invite Amelia back for a second week so we have time for the 90's, 00's and 10's. Welcome back to BM! This week, Jenn has a dramatic pause that Edward edited out and we have a special guest in the HotSeat - Amelia. Now, Amelia is Katie and Edward’s sweet-baby Speedway employee niece and she is definitely allowed to use Katie Words on today’s program. We open the program with fun stories from Amelia’s place of employment including stolen roller grill tongs and dirty underpants in the restroom. We also learn about how the delicious gas station food is prepared, Amelia’s favorite regular customers and being verbally assaulted by drunks at our jobs. Next, we tackle a hot topic regarding our favorite suburban western-wear outlet store and a report from amateur news enthusiast, #fakefanann. Next, we read a viewer email from Nate Scrunchy and it reminds Katie of her special celebrity guest invitation to join us on a upcoming episode. Luke forgets what week it is and invites everyone to hop in their time-machines to get a free chili dog weeks ago and it inspires Edward to invent a future calendar to help us with our futures. Jenn talks about a disaster at work which made her face start… facing… but it turns out that some hunk came to save the day. She’s also reading a neat book one of her clients let her borrow about the Netherlands, pretty cool! Amelia talks about her time away from Speedway and her and Edward Jr. are going to school to try to figure out what the crap is wrong with Jenn. Someday, she will be fixed. Mute Machine’s new album just dropped and Edward, Katie and Amelia went to the release party at the Roger B. Chaffee Planetarium at the VanAndel Museum. This week on BM, Katie talks about her Minecraft adventures including DangerCaves and staying up too late. Meanwhile, Jenn was asleep from doing too much yard work. Next, Jenn has to re-evaluate things due to her simple pleasures in life, squirrel feeders, planting tulips like a good Hollander and letting animals inside - her boner has sprung. Next we discuss top secret project: MMMBop. Daisy and Lenny has a play-date and of course talking about it brought things back around to a BM Classic Segment, The Poop Corner, most unprecedented! Jenn and Luke lost power for several minutes and almost started eating each other like the movie ‘Alive’, but instead went to buy coffee from a coffee shop in honor of Michael Landon, who invented Starbucks back in pioneer times. Katie is going to gnaw on the wild boar that Edward captured for her. This weeks Game Time Activity is ‘Rhyme or Travel Time’. Luke came up with a list of rap artists and geographical locations and the gang has to guess which is which. Welcome to BM After Dark (or before dark, or at dinner time). This week we talk about what we had for dinner. Katie had gluten-free chicken nuggets and carrots, Edward had a hard salami sandwich and Jenn had a bowl of chips. Don't forget to call the hard salami hotline. Edward shows off his new political shirt which he bought to support the current issues and truck rental companies, Jenn talks about her peg-leg and we all talk about what the hell is wrong with Luke. Katie ripped ass in someone else's office while they were in there with her because in her mind she was in her own office, Luke's grandma used to rip ass at Lazarus all the time, Luke rips ass wherever (whenever) he wants and Jenn recently celebrated her big special birthday! Then, we talk about the dangers of using fabric softener directly on your garbage and the potential risks involving other detergents, dryer sheets and solvents. Luke and Edward are very concerned about all of the hoo-ha's all over the world and will now campaign to save them. We get into some spank bank material involving gymnastics and bathing suits, stupid people going outside to talk to strangers, dead people and the dealings involved and doorbell cameras of all varieties. Jenn starts the episode in Canadian! This week we have a guest, one of the PuzzleBroads, the amazing Sharon! Now, Sharon has been talked about many times on the program, is one of our top viewers and is the Puzzle Sorter of the PuzzleBroad group. Katie and Sharon recently won a very important Puzzle Competition and were gloating because they defeated the last year's winners in the Public Library Circuit. Since Mother's Day is coming up, Sharon talks about her responsibilities as a hard-core, peacekeeping, de-escalating, boot-camp hardened, MOM - and she really MOMS IT UP! We also talk about Tally, the robot who works at Meijer and how Luke likes to screw around with Him/Her/Them/Robot. Sharon's husband does not approve of cursing or swears and the children have adapted their own version of "Katie Words" because of what they hear when we all play Minecraft. The best of all of the made-up, gosh-darn, holy-crap, ninky-words is... NINKY! After this we all do our best to make our best asshat Ninky-Face and Luke wins the contest by being ninky-ninky. We read some viewer emails from Nate Scrunchy and FakeFanAnn that require some on the scene investigation. Next, we set up a Pay Per View event for the past using our time machine for all the asshats. Phew! This week's game is for all of the moms out there, since they are the ones who will know the answers. We delve into children's programs between the 1800's and now. This week on BM, Brutus (Jenn) has gotten a striking, new, shit-kickin' hairdoo. It's the type a hairdoo that makes you wanna fling poop right into your neighbor's yard, over the fence. Katie tells us what happened because Luke missed out on Saturday night Minecraft because he was driving all over the greater Grand Rapids area because of Jenn's bowling adventure - and missed out on defeating the Ender Dragon. Some friends came to visit from Beaver Island where there isn't Meijer or Internet and the kids go to school with 8 other children and they hate strangers. Luke got a new coffee mug. Edward has been Googling Taylor Swift almost daily and now his social feed is full of TayTay info, photos and videos. He's also trying to get tickets to the T-Swift concert. Katie thinks that Luke & Jenn should serve hors d'oeuvres on the cat's new litterbox enclosure and Edward vows not to eat anything from our house ever again. Boomers don't know what podcasts are. This week's super game isn't a game at all! We're celebrating March - the reading month - on April 17. We all have favorite childhood books and this week we discuss ours. Maybe you have some of the same favorite books as us. Maybe you don't. It doesn't really matter because this is our podcast and we're talking about the ones WE like :) We learn about a disorder that we're not allowed to call what it's always been called because Amelia Bedelia, we learn everything we need to know about everything (ever) from Richard Scarry, we learn how to not be a punk doormat loser from Grover on Sesame Street, Jenn loves weird old-timey sad stuff like Laura Ingalls and Beautiful Joe and other stuff about dead dogs and people. Edward is helping (or doing all the work) to rearrange his home for the benefit of his family and has some sore ankles to show for it.
