Hey honey, it's been four long months since we buzzed in. If you've been keeping up with me online you know that my mommy passed away after a long battle against breast cancer on August 6, 2022. And if I haven't learned anything else in these last four months, I learned that GRIEF IS GHETTO! One minute you feel like it's the 1st of the month when your check and stamps hit, next minute you're barely getting by on a hope and prayer to make it to the next day... being that she left me here, I need you to listen to my letter to her... Regardless of how or where you were raised your childhood has a significant impact on the adult that you choose to become. While I’m thankful for our progression as a generation we haven’t always been this way. Here’s my experience growing up plus size.

I've often joked that I feel like I'm living a double life. Not because I wanted to but because I felt like I had to. I carried so much shame behind some of my experiences and pride ultimately blocked the idea of ever sharing. A year ago, I finally evicted pride out of my life and took power over my story. Through sharing my personal experience as plus size girl it helped me realize that my secrets weren't my own. So this episode is for us, it's for every plus size girl who carried shame about decisions she's made or felt frustrated at how society treats us. It's for the plus size girl finding her way, the plus size girl that's been found and ultimately, it's for me, the girl in between.
