My first episode and it almost brought me to tears. It’s such a deep indescribable joy to hear women in Cannabis speak about spirituality in a way that’s so so so so so familiar to me. From negative childhood experiences, shame and guilt that stigmatized my bloodlines beautiful ancient earth-based traditions to the transcending storm one of the host’s experienced. There’s an electricity that’s ignited in a woman when she can see herself reflected back to her. It’s a form of validation that she didn’t even know she needed. I ran from my spirituality for a long time because the world didn’t reflect it back to me in a way that made sense to others. I’m grateful to all that is for my current comfort in my own spirituality and am glad to have heard this. Thank you!

This podcast is so well done, and has made me feel, for the first time, like there’s a real community in cannabis that I can relate to and draw from and enjoy. I await each new episode with excitement!

I have not missed a single episode since this podcast came out. I was already a fan of Broccoli Mag and all they are doing to normalize and destigmatize cannabis and all the folks who are in touch with plant medicine. I love being able to feel like part of these conversations! Lauren and Mennlay are such light beams and it’s been a joy to go along for the ride as their lives change, though never their love for cannabis. And how amazing to hear a Black woman and an Asian-American woman sharing their stories! As a queer Latinx, I can’t say how much the representation means. Their perspectives have been something I can truly identify with. Lauren and Mennlay, you already feel like friends! Hopefully someday we’ll meet (Maybe at an In Bloom: Part 2 👀)

I’ve been secretly ( or so I thought ) smoking daily for over 10 years and I’m thrilled that it is finally being normalized. Thank you for all your research, you guys are so interesting to listen to. I may not agree with everything that’s been said but getting these conversations going is so exciting to me!

I’m so glad I found this podcast and Broccoli Mag. I’m tired of seeing and listening to the thoughts and opinions of white men in weed spaces and it’s refreshing find a podcast that doesn’t include them. Mennlay and Lauren are so knowledgeable and open about their experiences and it’s so inspiring. They and Broccoli Mag make entering this field feel less daunting.
