The game of volleyball was invented in 1895 and it was formally known as mintonette when it was first invented. The game of volleyball was designed to have less contact with the opposite team. Volleyball was invented in YMCA gymnasium of Holyoke Massachusetts in USA, in 1985 by William G. Morgan. It was officially incorporated into the official games of YMCA in 1896.
