Just as the state of Texas has taken on new abortion laws that strip women of their right to choose, Florida has emerged with a copycat bill that's just as obtuse. Our hosts are joined this week by guests Gina Beckum & Alexa Botzenhart who speak from the mouths and hearts of real women. Gina and Alexa share with us the realities that come along with governmental laws that control reproduction, and how the implications of that control compound exponentially, leading to dangerous circumstances for women. At some point we must ask ourselves one sobering question: Who are we saving & what are we losing?

The place is crazy, but we love it. This episode is all about Florida, from the perspectives of both a native and a transplant.

This week Bread 4 Breaking talks animals! Animals have become a part of many families, and they have the ability to help us reduce anxiety & stress. While animals can be great companions, they require a lot of time and attention, a responsibility not to be taken lightly. Kameron talks about only having dogs in his youth growing up, while Josh contrasts that after having several pets growing up. Have you had any animals that were not traditional? What did you have, and what kind of special attention did it require? We want to hear from YOU!

In this week's episode we work to break down the barriers, and help identify some individual roads to redemption in debt. Knowing what debt is, how it works, and how it can be used for good is powerful beyond words. Check in this episode to hear how anyone can reduce their financial liability by nearly 100% while boosting their credit at the same time.

Debt. Something that consumes so many, yet there is persistent confusion on how to make it work FOR US. In this week’s episode Kameron & Josh peel back some layers, helping listeners better understand DEBT. This word doesn’t have to be your enemy, in fact it can & should be just the opposite. Debt can provide a borrower the ability to leverage, and receive a higher rate of return than what’s being paid for on the debt. Throughout this week’s episode there are seeds being shared, all of which one can plant to grow their own financially successful garden. To put it simply, we must know the difference between good & bad debt in order to play “the game” to its fullest.

To understand love language is to have a keen knowledge of personal needs, making it possible to successfully interpret actions of love. Kameron & Josh dive into the topic, taking the love language quiz and discussing the results. Understanding more about ourselves and our loved ones, helps to pave way for a happier life - a life of creating real solutions for communication needs. Being able to communicate effectively helps relationships operate smoother, as your partner's love language is similar to having a video game's cheat code. You get to focus your efforts more on what makes them happy, therefore encouraging harmony.

Our imagination plays a major role in every day life. The ability to see beyond what’s right in front of us is crucial to achieving the big goals we set out to accomplish. But our imagination is a tool that, oddly enough, can be broken if we let it happen. Self-doubt has the ability to cripple us, especially when we allow naysayers to throw shade on our dreams. But as so often is the case, our dreams are typically bruised when others project their own limited beliefs upon us.
In the Mullet Minute, Josh "diagnoses" Kameron with having Aphantasia: an inability to voluntarily create a mental picture in one's own head. Being the creator that Josh is, he was taken aback to learn that Kameron was affected by Aphantasia. Maybe Kameron caught it from Greg, since Greg doesn’t like washing his hands ;)
Also in the MM, Kameron brings to our attention the need to know one's "Why", and how powerful that force can truly be in our motivations.
Our hosts ponder how vivid our imaginations once were as children, when the word was encouraged more freely. What did you tell the teacher you wanted to be when you grow up? Are you using imagination to create your desired future today? We must remember what Albert Einstein once said, "Imagination is more important than knowledge" for without it we have nothing but the status quo. Now go use your imagination!

Do you care where your goods and services come from? Are you concerned with the labor trade used to produce our everyday products? You may have answered yes, but is it really possible to be in the know on all aspects of the brands we support through our purchasing? Will we always be aware of the brand's values & leadership? In this week’s episode Kameron & Josh discuss being conscious consumers, placing power in the hands of everyone. But to take things a step further, our hosts discuss the misconception that this is as easy as simply spending or not spending our dollars somewhere. Substantial progress also requires collectivism, cooperation, and our time spent giving back, to truly succeed.
In this week’s Mullet Minute:
Kam- Failure, and surrounding yourself with the people who will support both you and your work! Failing and getting back up takes courage, and it’s a crucial ingredient in our recipe for growth.
Josh - “Main character syndrome” - the trouble with viewing one’s own life as a narcissistic film. Believing your own life is actually one big drama.
