Another week, another episode! This week, Mayank and Sunny sit down with the Actor, Mental Health Advocate and Author of his own book, 'Move Your Mind', Nick Bracks. You may have seen him in Neighbours, Dancing with the Stars, Salt Lake and more.
Compulsive thinking was something nick grew up with. He knew he didn't fit it, but he didn't know how to navigate feeling different, At some point, things spiralled out of control and Nick found himself in the midst of what he now sees as his wake up call - a very dangerous car accident with his best friend in the car.
Nick has used his story not only to inspire and empower people but is passionate about removing the stigma around mental health, and does this in an optimistic and solution based way.
In this episode we uncover:
- Living in the shadow of his dad, Steve Bracks, the then Victorian Premier
- Reflections on his overly obsessive and ambitious desire to create his own legacy
- The power of the conscious and subconscious mind
- Building resilience during his youth years, that have now formed the foundation for a holistic outlook on wellbeing
- How we all make mistakes and the important to learn from them
- Why listening to your gut is one of the most important things to do
- What success really is
All this and much more in a very honest conversation. Right at the end, and for some fun, we went ahead and asked Nick he's on quick fire questions (including his favourite acting role and underwear brand!!).
