we have a guest people. a real life, skin and bones person who was willing to talk books for near forty-five minutes with us. i know, we didn't think those people existed either. but here she is, my glorious fiance who has patience like a turtle and the wit of a worm (worms are very witty, believe me). it's time for the goblet of fire, which really, how often are they cleaning that thing? are there coins from wishes down there? does it make appearances at wizard malls for photo-ops? these questions aren't even remotely answered in the book and they certainly aren't answered in this episode. enjoy stinkies.

we now enter the third year of harry's time at hogwarts and the dude could use some deodorant. bodies are changing and so is the tone of the story, which trades smells of innocence and pixies for the rancid stank of soul eating devils and a rather unkept prisoner. buckle up people, this one has quite the stench.

folks, there's a scent in the air. not only does it stink like hedwig's tiny excrements, but it also carries with it the aroma of a brand new episode of book smell podcast. we rejoin harry and the gang in the smash-bang sequel to jk's first potter novel and oh boy is it a good one. sit back, take a big whiff, and enjoy my review of the chamber of secrets.

We know, ugh, reading. But hear us out. In the first full-length episode of Book Smell, Harry Potter and his ragtag wizarding bunch take center stage in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Don't get us wrong, we know there is a movie, and we know watching something is a trillion times better than reading something. BUT - we did the heavy lifting for you. So put in some headphones and smell this book with us...you won't regret it.

Welcome to Book Smell: a podcast for anyone who hates reading or for anyone who hates anyone who hates reading. Before we get to those "books" people love so much, this brief episode previews the podcast with a healthy amount of both respect and disdain for books.
