#401: Isabella Ardell
Isabella Ardell is a kind and lovely legend I think everyone should invite to join their podcast for an episode. She is a magazine owner, jewelry maker and started sewing at the age of 7 (!!) In this episode, we deep dived talking about her creative path, what's her favourite part about being an artist and how moving out and adulthood as a "newbie" is hard to manage. As two publishers were at the same place, we also touched on the topic of printing, focusing on zines and books, and how important it is that artists understand and support each other as parts of society still need time getting our POV and understanding which impact they could make on an artist's life with sharing and purchasing their art. Speaking of which, you can find Isabella's jewelry, magazine issues, stickers and textiles such as tote bags, pillows & more on isabellaardell.com and you can follow her on social media @isabellaardell / @ardellmagazine and on TikTok as well :)Enjoyed listening to this episode? Seven Seers
Seven Seers is a musician I literally discovered through an IG advertisement (now someone should say again that they don't work!!). He promoted at that time his latest single "Girl In Black" and I was obsessed with it as I am a huge synth and 80s fan. Because of that, it was a must to listen to his music and I recommend it to anybody who is exactly like me. Now, one year later, his latest and first single of his upcoming album "right then. right now." "Cheater" just came out and I feel honored giving him an opportunity to talk about his album, his making process process and his favourite literature. We talked about all that and we browsed and exchanged some favourite scenes of my book "Follow Me." which Theo currently reads. Issy Allen was already once in my podcast together with her band Barerra, but this time she sat down alone with me talking about her room, her passion for old music and how she is so excited about giving the old music a tribute with the music she is doing with Barerra. We talk about colleges, iconic band moments, her Depop shop, music theory, etc. I really loved sitting down with her one more time, so hopefully you enjoy it as much as we do!
