Happy Soccer Podcast Day! This week on the podcast, the guys discussed the New Year, World Cup Final, and Pele. Unfortunately, after we recorded this episode, news broke with Gregg Berhalter and US Soccer that Bone and Beam didn't get to discuss in great detail. The guys will have plenty to say about all of that in next week's episode.

Happy Soccer Podcast Day...well, kind of. We're trying to think good thoughts after the US loses to the Netherlands 3-1, but it frankly isn't easy. Bone and Beam unpack what went wrong for the US Men's National Team, where the mistakes were made, and what changes they would have made to avoid this loss.
Then they take turns looking at the decisions from Gregg Berhalter, and question whether or not he should be the guy to lead the USMNT into the 2026 World Cup cycle.
It's going to be a long three and a half years until the next World Cup for the men's team. But we're already looking forward to seeing what they can do with more growth over that time.

Happy Soccer Podcast Day! Groups E and F were quite the thing! Japan wins Group E with victories over Germany and Spain (why bother talking about that loss to Costa Rica?), but they didn't win without controversy! Bone and Beam talked about goal line technology, VAR and much much more on that storyline. And Spain survived the group basically on the strength of their opening win over Costa Rica, as goal differential allowed them to get the second spot in this group ahead of Germany, who looked for a few minutes like they might just lose to Costa Rica.
Meanwhile, Belgium is distraught as they are eliminated, despite some brilliant chances for some of their stars. Morocco continues to impress, and they along with Croatia found their way through in Group F. And unfortunately for Canadian fans, their World Cup really never got going, as they lost all three of their games.

Happy Soccer Podcast Day! No one was able to "F--- Croatia" it turns out on this matchday, as Canada was undone by some veterans of the World Cup stage. Bone and Beam dove into that match, as well as some old guys who aren't getting it done right now in Belgium. Morocco is flying in this World Cup, and much of it was on display in Qatar on Sunday - and now Morocco needs only a point to move on to the knockout round. Meanwhile, Japan was shocked by Costa Rica, who aren't ready to bow out of the World Cup just yet. And in a game that before the tournament looked to be one of the best on paper, Spain and Germany fought to a surprising 1-1 draw, helping to give Germany life ahead of their third matchday. Check back each day of the group stage for a new recap podcast! And give us a like and follow if you're enjoying these episodes!
