I really enjoyed the history of San Diego and loved the story flow. As someone who doesn't follow football very closely, the podcast laid out the background perfectly and kept me flowing with the narrative the entire time. This story is seriously compelling. 5 stars

This podcast series combines the ultimate Chargers history and legacies with the sheer unreal amount of blowback and chaos that plagued the city of SD and the Chargers organization. I truly had a fun time reliving the SB berth, something I being born in 95’ could ever imagine. Professionally mastered and edited, this series envelopes you with a consistent stretch of content for every episode. I won’t forgive the Spanos family but at least I can come to terms with what became of the San Diego Chargers and look to a new generation of fans, experiences, and wins with Justin Herbert leading the charge! Also Ralphie is a great host.

Well done! I grew up right next to the stadium and was very mad/sad when the chargers left the Q. This is a great listen for any San Diego charger fan.

As a lifelong Chargers fan who was devastated by the team’s move to LA, I was worried that this podcast would just tear open old scars. Though it did bring up some painful memories, it was completely worth it. This podcast does an amazing job of giving you the backstory of the Chargers move to LA and everything leading up to it while keeping you entertained and wanting more. It was great learning about San Diego’s political history and the differences in ownership styles between Alex and Dean Spanos. I hope more drama unfolds with the Spanos selling the team so, we can get more episodes!

Great listen! As a SouthTown native, losing the Bolts will always sting. I don’t see them ever succeeding on the field in LA or anywhere with the Spanos’s at the helm as excellence starts at the top, but doubling the franchise value and moving into a palace with subsidized rent is a pretty shrewd move, unfortunately it came at the SD fan’s expense. Maybe another owner is in their future, but like most of San Diego, I won’t be “fighting for LA” or following the LA Chargers.

All San Diegans, whether you are a Charger fan or not should listen to this. It is very informative and living here I have seen this all play out. However there was a lot of info in here that I didn’t know. This podcast was put together very will with the story telling and all the interviews. I’m not a Charger fan and I really enjoyed listening to this and I believe they belong in SD.

Wow! What a podcast. Perfectly encapsulates the pain of being a San Diego sports fan. Incredibly well done and breaks down both sides of the story. Even more than that, my hope is that people from all walks take a listen to this and understand the absolute garbage examples of human beings the Spanos family has been since the day they immigrated to this country. Just wow

This pod, so far, is so well made! The ties between sports, politics and billionaires make it a must listen.

Even if you’re not a Chargers fan (I’m personally not) you’re going to get swept up in the political intrigue, the civic pride, and have I mentioned the daddy issues? I walked an extra lap around my neighborhood to keep listening and can’t wait for more.

Any past or present Charger fans, observers/residents of San Diego, and those interested in the workings of the NFL should check out this series. Well-written and pleasant to listen to, each episode is smoothly presented and seems to end too soon. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
