16. START YOUNG: Don't Waste Time On The What Ifs
Why we're encouraging anyone who's ever thought about starting their own business to START NOW: Veronica and Renee both started their businesses in their early twenties and believe that you can either 'build your business around your life' or 'build your life around your business'.  When you start young and start before the responsibilities of life really set it, you have less at stake. You don't have to worry about risking it all to leave your 9-5 and possibly not be able to put food on the table for your family while you get this idea off the ground. We totally understand that mental battle can stop you from pursuing your dreams and that's why we hope this episode inspires you to just start now. The longer you wait to start your business, the more you'll be risking and the harder it will be to jump in without hesitation.  Get ready to switch up your routine, incorporate building your business into your daily routine Don't get us wrong, you can still start NOW! Age is but a number, but we want you to know that it might be tougher to make the adjustment Make sure you're surrounded by people who fully support you! Use the doubt and negativity from others as fuel Stop making excuses, just do the thing!  Find motivation from mentors that inspire you and that are living the life you want to live Visualize your business non-stop, it's free and will help guide your decision making down the road.  Set attainable goals that will get your closer to the business you visualize, prioritize what's most important to get you there Think through the best case scenarios and the worst case scenarios, don't get caught up on the what if's and let them consume you. Acknowledge what COULD happen, and know that it's a possibility, but let it stop you from starting! We hope you loved this quicky episode that was packed full of tips and stories from our experiences of starting our businesses young. If you are planning to start a business and want to hear more of our stories, stick around and keep listening to BTP and follow us on instagram for the inside scoop on new episodes! Shoot us an email at [email protected] to be featured on our show!

15. BLAST FROM THE PAST: What Advice We Would Give Ourselves Starting Out
This is the episode where we share some advice we wish someone had given us before starting our businesses! We can both agree the most important being: Always remain humble Keep dreaming and visualizing Reach out to others doing what you want to do, but make sure you do your research and have a leg to stand on in the conversation. Put in the work FIRST and then seek mentors to gather advice and fine-tune your mindset Accepting that perfection doesn't exist Be open to opportunities, even if they don't present themselves the way you imagined Treat every time you leave the house (or show up online) as an opportunity to grow and network Put on your big girl / business owner pants (quit being a slob kabob) Always seek out the positive, even in a situation that felt like a failure We hope you love this episode and we encourage you to JUST START. If you've been wanting to start your own business or just explore a new industry or just try something new in general- you have to start somewhere. Don't wait until the perfect moment because it's not ever going to feel perfect. If it does, that's when you know you waited too long.. As always, we hope you enjoyed this episode of BTP and we would love to hear from you on IG @boldtypepodcast or [email protected].

WARNING SIGNS OF BURNOUT HOW TO OVERCOME OVERWHELM AVOIDING THE COMPARISON TRAP SETTING YOURSELF UP FOR THE DAY YOU WANT TO HAVE We also share an important quote that shows the mindset of hustlers and how difficult it can be to truly take days off and settle the mental chatter even when you do decide to take some time to relax and unwind. 12. Building A Digital Marketing Business with Hannah Samlall
We are digging into the world of 9-5s and what pushed entrepreneurs, Hannah Samlall and her sister Rachel to launch Waterloo Street, their very own digital marketing turned website design business! In this episode we talk about making the jump from corporate to running your own business and Hannah's experience with shifting business models during a pandemic, to trusting her gut and moving across the east coast to follow her true passion.  In this episode, we touch on the importance of building a female network and the supportive role other business owners play in our lives. 11. What We Were BOTH "Diagnosed" With In 2020!
We've mentioned on the podcast before that we were BOTH "diagnosed" with PCOS this past year, but never went into detail about our experiences and our struggles with this lifelong condition. Through our own research and just talking to our clients, friends and followers, we discovered that SO many of you are experiencing the same situation and having trouble knowing where to turn. We want to be advocates for not only business, beauty and boutiques, but wellness all around!  What has worked for US so far: Gluten and dairy free, for the most part!  Being more mindful about soy, sugar, and anything processed- ORGANIC, if possible. Exercising daily, even if it's just a walk! Relaxation and stress relief, journaling, meditation, yoga, talking to a friend- whatever works for you! Getting your hormones tested regularly Talking with others who have a similar/same diagnosis BE YOUR OWN ADVOCATE, no one knows your body like YOU do!
