Love the show. Started listening back in 2021. I do miss Chaps and Kate, but I’m glad Cons kept the show going. I love the New additions with Ryan and Rob. Keep up the good work.

They follow their marching orders very well. Good for them. Bold? Nah. American? Debatable. Pod? Sure.

This show is nothing now without Chaps and Kate….the new hosts are just annoying with no real depth in the discussions. Stop using the ZBT feed to promote this different show

They can’t go one episode without talking about West Point or the Naval Academy. I miss the old ZBT!

The podcast as it is today, just has no magic anymore. It’s so frustrating to try to listen to now. I tried listening a second time, after not liking the first couple of episodes. New episode was an interesting topic… and it took 31 minutes to even get to it. The banter before was painful and labored. The lady loves saying “Umm….” a LOT.

Bring back Chaps and Kate please!

I think it’s a bit misleading to use the ZBT feed for current show, feels like trying to piggyback off the massively good ratings of the old show. Used to enjoy listening to ZBT every now and then. I have a lot of military in my family, I’m a gold star family member, and I was considering going active duty (decided on civilian service for the armed forces instead), so I used to listen a fair bit. I really wanted to enjoy this show and was looking forward to it being in my regular lineup. I hate leaving poor reviews but it genuinely seems like they just come into this show without having done any prep on the things they are talking about. They also frequently make incorrect assumptions about factual matters that could have been avoided with a single online search. The ads are extremely disruptive in their placement and frequency. I have struggled to remain interested over the course of several episodes and turned it off mid episode today. I have found the flow of conversations to be less compelling than some other podcasts that I listen to. I have felt like there is a distinct lack of humor compared to ZBT as well. My recommendation is to do additional preparation. Get a deeper understanding of the topics you want to talk about, assuming you want this to be an actual informed conversation for listeners and not just hanging out with friends with a mic on. A greater diversity of opinions would also be far more interesting, perhaps some guests that could challenge perspectives on some of the political topics. It very much has the feeling of an echo chamber. I’m not blind to that fact that because I disagree with many of their political takes that likely has an impact on what I think of the show. However, I feel that I would be willing to look past those differences in opinion if it seemed like they were genuinely trying to understand the things they are talking about, I listen to other podcasts and news where I don’t fully agree with the hosts. Additionally, anytime they get close to some form of criticism of the current administration, they immediately back off of it, it’s a very uncomfortable dynamic for me to listen to. It’s almost like they are afraid of upsetting the listeners, Barstool, or maybe each other. I wish them success in their new venture, and I hope that my criticisms are taken constructively and in good faith. I’ll probably check back in a couple more times to see if it gets any better before unsubscribing. I’ll change my review if I notice improvement.

With Chaps and Kate gone this is a pretty tough listen. Every shares the same view points to the point where they are apologetic to current administration and show obvious bias in most world talking points. Lack of diversity in thought.

What made ZBT great was that you had diversity of thought; an officer, SNCO, and NCO all coming from different backgrounds and experiences. Now it’s just 3 hosts from the same service academy-upper-middle/middle class background that all think the same and are conversing in an echo chamber. I’m going to start playing a new game: how long into the episode before someone brings up West Point/naval academy?… betcha can’t make it 2min.

Big change of direction. First episode had me super intrigued about the new change. I look forward to the point of views, perhaps, even more than before. Thank you for keeping this going in some manner.

Glad to see the show is back up and running. Gonna miss Chaps and Kate input but it’s nice to be introduced to the new cohosts. Great first episode, looking forward to what’s to come.

This is like ZBT was, but Cons has replaced Kate and Chaps with apologists for the trump administration. The three of them are working hard to do all the mental gymnastics that it takes to pretend that things are being done in good faith.

Listener for over two years until recently. Thoroughly enjoy the military history, dark humor, long form interviews, first person storytelling, military news pieces. As soon as you turn it into a political platform I switch it off. All of you served you know better. Clean it up. Get back to your roots. Unity not division.

Full episode glazing Walz vs. full episode mocking Vance and not even once acknowledging his legitimately humble beginnings and military service. And he’s a fellow Marine. It’s getting gross guys.

Today’s episode was so well done and very balanced, but Kate absolutely ruined it. She just sounded so unintelligent and didn’t contribute anything to a much needed conversation. I was embarrassed for her and I normally love Kate, but she did zero research for today’s episode and honestly, shouldn’t have even chimed in.

Cons is super annoying

Great show, I listen as often as possible. If you could just place advertisements between sentences or paragraphs instead of just cutting out to an advertisement in the middle of a word.

It's just three people who constantly agree on issues because they’re afraid of any confrontation with each other despite having opinionated viewpoints. Also, Cons is absolutely boring. He makes the Army look bad and is potentially the sole reason why recruitment numbers are so low.

This show is fantastic, and I appreciate having it there twice a week. I do wish they’d go back to playing the actual “Retreat” at the end, though. I really miss that.

I've been listening to this podcast for at least 4 years and love the content, banter, interviews and not commonly reported stories. I have reached a point where I get increasingly frustrated by the sound mixing going from one host to another having to go full volume to hear and having my ear drums blown out by another saying "mm-hmm". The intro and outro also are vastly ghee volume than the entire rest of the show. This isn't the first time I've complained about this. I find it hard to believe I am the only person with this concern. I do not have these issues with any other podcasts I listen to

Dumping advertisements all over the shoe, seems like they are getting too far removed from the military to accurately discuss current events. Also, terrible volume control. How doers a company as big as barstool not have the capital to fix this?! Commercials are twice as loud as the hosts, and host volumes aren’t balanced whatsoever

I have listened to this Podcast from the very Beginning when it was just Chaps and Captain Cons it was awesome and then when Kate joined the Show the sky’s been the limit. I’m an Army Infantry OIF 3 Veteran and was Medically Retired after 16 years. The show is serious my therapy twice a week on top of the Counseling I go to. When I’m having a tough time a go back and listen to my favorite episodes they make me laugh and cry and just feel because as most Vets know during our Service we were taught to drive on and not to deal with our feelings and once we redeploy it’s ten times worse coming home. Just want to say thanks to Chaps, Cons and Kate for this show and I highly recommend it to not just Veterans but everyone who loves Podcasts.

If Kate disagrees with Cons she just talks over him until chaps says I guess we won’t agree. Great discourse

I’ve listened on and off for a few years. Lately it’s just been horrible. Kate is absolutely insufferable. Brainless gross comments all the time, and talking that goes nowhere. Chaps is not as bad as Kate, and cons is pretty consistently cool. I hope they cancel this show like they did podfathers

This show is awesome, was never in the armed forces, only AmeriCorps, wish I’d done something bigger like the Coast Guard after listening to this show. Give it a listen.

I continue to listen as a conservative to see what the other side says. The one star is for the bravery in sharing the hard to talk about issues. Most of the topics discussed and the opinions expressed I disagree completely with. I do hope for the continuation to exercise the inalienable first amendment rights in this podcast.

Go back to playing whatever music as an opening. Just discuss the song for a couple minutes afterwards and you stay within the confines of the law

The Round about Tulsi Gabbard was very disappointing. You three are better than this…. You three basically repeated MSM talking points… Proud of Tulsi for her efforts. I enjoy listening to the show nevertheless.
