 This week on Zack’s Corner we bring you, The Evil Dead (1981)! In this amazing horror classic, we see Ash, Linda, Scott, Shelly, and Cheryl staying at a remote cabin isolated deep in the woods. As if the setting was not scary enough, the group find a tape recorder in the basement that unleashes an evil force that descends upon them and begins to take them one by one. Will anyone survive? Is there any way out? Can this evil be stopped? All of these questions and more will be answered right now, on Zack’s Corner! This week Evil Dead: The Game comes out and we couldn’t miss the opportunity to talk about one of our favorite horror franchises! We are huge fans of Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi and this movie is a classic for a reason. We hope you guys love this movie too!  This week on Comparisons in the Corner we look at The Toolbox Murders (1978) and its remake Toolbox Murders (2004). These films start more or less the same but they get vastly different by the end of their runtimes. In the films women are violently murdered by a masked assailant with various weapons. Both films have a lot of mystery, are very violent and both films go all in on their concepts. These types of episodes are very fun to do and we hope you enjoy listening to them as well! Coincidently, at the same time, scientist Jack Griffin is missing and his colleagues are worried about him. Could these be connected? Will they find Jack? Will the police be able to capture the invisible man? This movie is so much fun and Claude Rains is truly amazing as The Invisible Man. Marion is so worried about who may be behind her that she doesn’t pay attention to who may be in front of her. This is one of those groundbreaking films that completely changed the genre and it is Hitchcock at his very best.
