Revolting degenerates
Filthy content. Useless prattle.

The subjects are good but the ladies have a vaudeville act that is off putting. Poor attempts at humor and often confusing as to who is talking. Poorly produced. Avoid this.

Hillarious & Dark!
History is DARK, so why not laugh about it? Body Count covers deliciously dark stories that aren't just fascinating, but important to remember (lest we repeat them.) Every event in history has a body count and I'm ready to sit back and count them all! Keep up the amazing work!

Incredible Narratives & An Excellent Host!

Hmmmm....
The first and only episode I have listened to so far is “MGTOW is a cult” the subject is very interesting, but I was surprised by the low quality inconsistent audio, the volumes are all over the place... which I guess is forgivable since it seems they were doing the interview/episode remotely rather than all being in a studio. BUT one of the hosts sounded like they were eating and then doing light housework during the interview, which was incredibly annoying, unprofessional and rude to the guest especially.. not sure what was really going on but did not sound great on top of already poor audio..

Morbid, Funny, Historical Entertainment
If you want to listen to a podcast that will teach you something while also making you laugh at more but humor and making me reflect in different ways on history this is definitely a good podcast for you. There is strong language and drinking but that’s what makes it a jolly good time and quite frankly keeps it simultaneously entertaining and educational. The recent Churchill episode is a great one to get started on (and a hoot 😂) but the Romanovs multi episode series are what really got me drawn in originally and I have since gone back and enjoyed earlier ones!

Was it wrong to laugh so hard at something so tragic?
I really shouldn’t listen to this at work because I keep snickering at what you guys are saying, and patients in our waiting room keep glancing over at me.
The Romanovs were one screwed up bunch. Oops swear! 😝 thank you for making my day ladies, and make it go faster. Keep up the great work!

Fun and informative
I love these episodes. I’m a big history nerd, but not a professionally trained historian. I listen even if know an episode’s topic well already. They have interesting takes and joke around at points. Learning history is supposed to be fun, at least for those of us who don’t do it for money anyway. Highly recommend.

Brilliant on a unique level!
These ladies really bring a fresh voice to history. Silly, unreserved & off-beat. Keep it up!

Obsessed!
I am so excitred I found this podcast, I'm a full on history nerd and this podcast checks all of the best boxes. It's funny, it has a casual chat with friends feel, it's morbid but light I guess fun (?) for lack of a better word doesn't take itself too seriously. Highly recommend!

Now that’s Group Dynamic.
One of the most important things about a podcast is chemistry between the hosts. This podcast has got that. In a sea of True Crime podcasts, this one makes murder/ death somehow fun? And that’s worth a listen

Fantastic and full of dark comedy
If you want a podcast that tackles the morbid and strange deaths throughout history with comedy and charm this is for you!

Love it!
There are so many reasons to love this podcast. The episodes are always simultaneously funny and informative. Given the dark premise of the topic matter, they always seem to make you laugh. Also, woman power, baby! A definite must listen.

Not My Kind of Podcast
So started listening to the first podcast and thought the concept and idea for this podcast was great but was severely disappointed after the first 10 minutes. There are cool facts but they’re surrounded by a very skewed view of history and the main person who does the talking gives a lot of her own personal opinions. I’m looking for an unbiased view of history and a more of a facts only kind of Podcast.

Not your average history pod
Jessica really does her research and knows her stuff. It’s really thorough, but also accessible, which is super important for a history podcast. Sometimes they can be so dull, like high school history, but Jessica really knows how to tell a story and make it interesting. Highly recommend adding this to your queue!

Ok so I started this pod listening to the multi-part Genghis Kahn series and I am already blown away. It’s so incredibly well-researched, I’m so impressed. I’ve subscribed and so should you.

Fun History!
I enjoy history and morbid subjects, so this subject matter immediately piqued my interest! Here we get to hear deep dives into events you may have forgotten you learned and they even give you little side factoids the history books don’t. If you are looking to freshen up your brain AND be entertained by on point hot takes, you need to get on this!

History the way it should be heard.
I learn interesting and new things every time. The hosts have an interesting way of deep diving into moments in history my or may not have heard about. I wish I had this when I was in High School. For history buffs or those who just want to hear/learn more.

Why couldn’t Jessica be my history teacher?
All minds need stimulation. The only problem is that most people present new information in way that’s just sooo boring, but not Body Count!
Going over darker historical events and figures, Body Count has found the perfect way to keep you interested and entertained. This podcast is perfect for...well just everyone!

An easy listen!
They give you interesting historical facts in a very palatable and easy to listen to manner. Keeps me interested even though I’m easily distracted!

Your history book meets your gossip column. Full of laughs, pettiness and awesome voices. I would love to hear more Texas history with that gen-you-wine accent.

I learned and laughed and ... loved?
Listen.
I'm an idiot. I fart to make myself laugh. This is the kind of person I am. So when i tell you that i'm not the ... smartest ...or most dignified of men. That said, I know when I am listening to a really good podcast. It's a talent I was born with. Like Ron Burgundy. I have leather bound ipods filled with only the best of the best podcasts. And this is one of them.
Jessica moves the show along so well with humor, knowledge and a desire to educate while entertaining. She may be the smartest person in podcasting. And no, she didn't pay me to say that. But if she wants to drop a buck or two to my Western Union account, so be it.
Seriously though. I listened and a liked it. It wasn't patronizing in the education parts and it wasn't offensive in the humor parts (and when i say offensive, i mean .. it was funny, it didn't try to be funny and fail. That's offensive.).
Subscribe. FIVE STARS.

Making History Quirky
I jumped forward to the episode about the Guadalajara Sewer Explosions. My family is actually from that area, so I wanted to learn about this. I thoroughly enjoyed the discussion about Harry Potter before the show, because I am a Potterhead. I really respected them for painting a picture of the type of corruption happening in Mexico. This type of corruption happens as a result of colonialism in Mexico/Other Latin American Countries. Countries struggling with high poverty rates after having their resources depleted. Very educational while trying hard to be respectful and not problematic. Thanks for being allies. Great show gals. 👏🏽

The Ugly Side of History You Want to Know
I’ve always had a passion for history, and these wonderful ladies do an incredible job at delivering the information in a way that’s engaging, witty, and sometimes a little salty. I can’t get enough. Especially loved the stuff about the nazi apologists in the royal family, since everyone seems to want to ignore that ugly part of history. Definitely recommend listening!

Fun with History
This is how history should be presented! The ladies of Bodycount excel at wit, sass, and humor while also providing an in depth look at compelling history. I am currently working the the body count of Edward episodes and thoroughly enjoy them!
