I just recently started listening to podcasts. This podcast was recommended on Dragons In Genesis Podcast so once I powered through that one I started on this 3 weeks ago. I am now up to Episode 217: Strange Encounters (I work 10 hour days….this podcast has been invaluable in keeping me focused). While I was sad to see Dave leave, David has been doing a fantastic job on his own, just had to listen to a couple with just him to get used to the newer format. I think I prefer the new format, still has humor but it has more of an informational approach that is leaning towards impassioned delivery (NOT dry lecture). Keep up the good work here!

Don’t miss the episodes on the devil. Flora did a fabulous job.

I had to stop listening after Stecco left. I dont like the serious tone change and it feels empty without another co-host involved. Doesnt have to be Stecco, but i miss discussing and banter

I was a listener from around 2016-2019. While I appreciate what Flora has continued to do solo, I do miss me the Flora/Stecco banter from the early days. Great podcast overall!!!

A great podcast, captivating topics beautifully narrated. I remember not being 100% convinced when Flora took over by himself after Stecco left, but he turned around this podcast beautifully. Revisiting the early episodes lately, I still like them, but it's a much better podcast now. I'm looking forward to Miss Cryptid every year.

The combination of humor and facts is perfectly balanced. Learning and laughing at the same time makes my chores fly by.

I know it’s rampant with podcasts like this one but I can only take so much of Flora’s weird casual racist and homophobic accents. What a tool.

I enjoy the point of view, Patrick is always open to learning and hearing new ideas. This podcast is always 5stars!!

My only complaint is I want a new episode weekly

Listened to about four pods hoping to hear some cool paranormal stuff, but this podcast is *sigh* like most others of the genre where it’s just all over the place, and I couldn’t tell what was serious, what was a joke or why the hosts seemed more into their banter than getting into something. When they actually get into exploring some topics it’s great discussion, but some pods are more storytelling which was weird and hard to figure out which pods may be interesting to me.

David uses atmospheric music and dramatic narration expertly to craft a spooky train episode.

He’s just kind of an a-hole and not in a clever way but he thinks he’s clever. He’s also a terrible interviewer. Have a conversation, man.

Superb radio/podcast voice. Enjoy the variety of subject matter. A great listening occurs with every podcast. Thanks.

I listen to a crapload of podcasts and Blurry Photos makes my top 5 of all.

I fell in love with the podcast from episode one. Regardless of the era (pre or post Stecco) this show is entertaining, well researched and always makes me smile. Great for believers and those who only “blurieve.” I cannot recommend enough!

Finally, the paranormal podcast for people like me: skeptics that are still fascinated by UFO mythology. Entertaining and smart, they bring some much-needed incredulity to the province of conspiracy podcasts.

Speaking as someone that has always had a fascination with the weird, but also identifies as somewhat skeptic, this is a podcast made for me. Good sense of humor without being dismissive of the topics......unless you’re a flat-earther.

David Flora knows a lot about cryptids, Mothmen, and lake monsters.

I absolutely LOVE this podcast. If you want great views on a myriad of different crazy subjects with an excellent cast of people, this is the one! I particularly enjoy the episodes about space and exploration! However, a star is lost due to the utterly unpalatable political episodes : /

Quantifying climate-commies as unequivocal authorities on conspiracies is laughable, and yet unforgivable... Lending credence to their views is sounding the death knell for your already sketchy podcast.

I don’t even listen to the newer episodes. The Dave that’s left is a little to dry alone. And all the reviewers complaining about the older episodes humor seem like the kind of d-bags that take this stuff way too seriously.

I thought this podcast would fizzle out when the co host left in the first season but I was certainly wrong! Flora is original and covers difficult material in a humorous way. I especially enjoy his Cryptid contests and round table discussions with my other favorite podcast Monsters Among Us. I would have never watched Hellier if I hadn’t listened. Thanks guys!

Still listening to the early shows as I just discovered Monsters Among Us and came here from there. I like the research, but there are times the hosts get things ridiculously wrong. Also, again, I’m still binging on the older eps and I hate, hate, HATE having to fast forward the first 10-15 minutes of the podcast to skip the silly improv “comedy”. It’s not funny and vaguely annoying. It takes away from the humor (which I love) and the research of the podcast. I haven’t yet gotten to the episodes with only Flora yet, so this may be an unfair review as of now.

Must listen podcast! Every time I hear Goatman, it’s an earwig!

Heard the duo on Expended Perspectives and loved their chemistry so figured I’ll give it a listen and I like the lightness and silliness because I am usually working on a project. Oh, and the show time is so cute!

Finally a paranormal and mystery podcast that loves the content but takes a completely skeptical view. Edit: I may have spoken too soon. I listened to several older episodes and I just wanted tell the other Dave to shut up, just shut up! They would spend 2 minutes talking about the subject for every eight minutes of stupid voices, annoying laughter, and bad jokes. It was like an idiotic morning radio show. I stopped listening to the older episodes. They aren’t worth it.

I love the approch this podcast takes with its material. He summerizes the topics well making it easy to digest. Not a podcast that will take deep dives into its topics giving me the chance to do some research on the subject. Finally I enjoy the TRUE skepticism.
