People tend to shy away from the Bible because they view it as a source of perfection. Instead of viewing it as perfection, it is the blueprint for becoming more God-like that censors us to grow in our faith and sense of self. However, we are not too different from the characters in the Bible. The Bible contains stories where the characters may fall into sin, and because of God's grace and mercies, he always grants us the favor. Just like how he did in the story of David and Bathsheba. Have you ever wanted something so much that, by any means necessary, you had to have it? If yes, that is how David felt when he slept with Bathsheba, Uriah's wife. Because David wanted Bathsheba, he committed adultery, and once Bathsheba became pregnant, David got Uriah killed in battle. Even though David sinned, David was still a man of God's own heart. We can learn the lesson that not everything we want is worth having. God is a forgiving God who shows unconditional mercies, even though the consequences of your sin remain. Welcome to BLAST Podcast
