Informatics and Data Science are more alike than they are different. Jakyll Henry was fortunate to be educated in both of these areas. While they have their similarities, it is important to understand where the point of contentions are, especially for newcomers interested in either of these fields. In doing so, transitioning into, or pivoting from either of these fields will be a lot smoother. For questions relating to Informatics or Data Science, feel free to reach out to to Jakyll and I on LinkedIn or Twitter.

During the month of March, we take the time out to acknowledge the different experiences endured by women both, personally and professionally. It is a time of empowerment where women lift each other up, but it is also a time where men are able to see how their actions and inactions, affect women in the workplace and beyond.
Ashley has been doing a lot of work behind the scenes to empower women to explore different data careers. To find out more about the work that she is doing check out www.datagirlash.com or connect with her on Twitter/Instagram: @datagirlash
