On this 1st episode of season 3, Zulu reviews 2 movies: 'One Night in Miami' by Regina King/Kemp Powers and 'American Skin' by Nate Parker. Then he goes on a tangent trying to explain why Director/Actor Nate Parker, and other black movie creatives who were subject of controversy, unlike successful black athletes or black musicians, cannot get away with their bad rep, and end up being "canceled."

On this week episode Rhey, and Zulu invited Abriana and Darius, the creatives behind 'A Dab of Life' podcast to discuss how poorly the issues related to mental health are addressed in black movies and TV shows. Your favorite hosts and their guests dive deep in the topic to find reasons why of all issues mental health's has been "kinda" brushed off by black Hollywood. 

After all the controversy around the coming-of-age French film 'Cuties', Blackbusterz hosts Rhey and Zulu came to the realization that Black creative in cinema are limited on what kind of stories they can tell, and how they can tell it. On this week episode they invited Ed and Davie, the hosts and creators of the 2 Black Boys podcast, to review together the French-Senegalese director, Maïmouna Doucouré first featured film. And also, to discuss the former issue and answer the question: Should only black people be allowed to tell black stories in cinema?

Your favorite hosts, Rhey, and Zulu invited Christina Royster, the creative behind YBO podcast (Young Black & Opinionated) to discuss the issue of colorism in Black Hollywood. Also, our Blackbusterz and their guest reviewed the latest Spike Lee joint: 'Da 5 Bloods'.

On this week Rhey and Zulu discuss the recurrence of the "Fatal Attraction" movies in Black Hollywood. A recent occurrence was the Netflix original 'Fatal affair', with Omar Epps and Nia Long. Listen to the wild theories they came up with to explain this "strange" phenomenon. Also, our Blackbusterz reviewed Romany Malco first featured film in the role of director: 'Tijuana Jackson'; and Beyonce new visual album based off her Lion's King soundtrack: 'Black is King.'
