I love this podcast, very interesting stories, I learn a lot about the aviation industry from Gus, and the banter between Gus and Chris is entertaining. Wish it didn’t have to end.

I’d say it’s amazing the depth of the story and the aircraft and how the 1 host has more knowledge about the subject then the other because when I have a question the host with the less knowledge always asks the questions in my head keep it up the number 1# best air disaster podcast on Apple Podcasts 👏👏

This is probably my favorite podcast of all time. Gus does a great job telling the stories in an entertaining but respectful way and Chris provides great chemistry as a cohost. I’ve binged this podcast multiple times and even though I wish there were more seasons, all good things must come to an end.

Please make more seasons like tales from the stinky dragon 🐉 💨

You have one informed and knowledgeable host and a guy that knows nothing and offers nothing. I give five stars for knowledgeable guy and no stars for unneeded guy. If you listen you’ll know which is which.

This is an amazing podcast. I learned so much by listening to it. I wish there were more episodes but I get why they ended it.

The fact that a cast with your numbers, especially with requests for its return over a year later, is lunacy. If I could personally fund this show, I would.

So I started listening to this podcast when it came out and fell off it midway due to other things going on in my life. But I got back to it and just finished right as RT announced their closure. This is one of your best non visual forms of content and you will be missed 😭 thank you for letting me fly along. 🫡

I guess overall this is an okay podcast, I’ll listen to it if there is none of my other podcast have anything current. It’s just okay. Very nonorganic feeling, very fake sounding scripted. A lot of things are poorly researched, with the “I can’t know for sure” comment, or “you can look it up yourself” comment coming out quite a bit. They are extremely pushy about subscribing to their socials or leaving reviews, asking almost every episode, multiple times.

I love this podcast. I’m sorry that it’s over.

Overall I enjoy the podcast, but found it a little disturbing to hear the lightheartedness when discussing the horrific accounts of the 737 on fire as passengers were trapped and dying when the exits became blocked.

I knew you’d eventually run out of plane crashes, but I assumed you’d be working on a follow-up podcast that, like BBD, would offer an exciting but also educational explanation of SOMETHING. Not knowing you background, I don’t know what that should be, but I know other”what went wrong” podcasts are in satisfyingly vague and generalized. Get moving! Also… if you don’t read the NYT, you should nevertheless check out the long front page article on air disaster near misses, on 8/23/23.

Gus really knows his stuff and is very passionate. Is Chris supposed to be a total idiot? Seems like he didn’t know airplanes existed when this podcast started.

I started listening during pandemic (from the beginning) and have enjoyed it so much. I’ve learned a great deal, shared it with friends and family, and have a completely different attitude when flying now. I don’t look at the plane or the crew the same! I so much more appreciate the miracle that is safe airline travel!!!!! I really hope y’all come back with more after awhile. I’ve so very much enjoyed this podcast. Thank you both.

So I love the content of this podcast! I think the hosts are knowledgeable and tell a great story. Only one thing is more irritating than anything and that’s Gus speaks way to fast!! He talks like he’s an auctioneer. Take a breath and slow down your speech man.

I dont understand the concept of membership or having to wait for new episode if the podcast is ending anyways. Why make people pay for something that soon will no longer exist.

This is legitimately one of the best podcasts ever, even though military aviation is my thing, this has taught me soooo much about how avionics work, how civilian things like ATC and pilot training work, and so much more, the understandable and sometimes funny conversations between Gus and Chris make it intertaining as well as educational. I hate to see y’all go, but if you have to end on a high note, do so. Ps. Chris, if by some chance you read this you do add a lot to the show, even though some of your questions are somewhat childish, we all ask dumb questions, I respect you, and you people who say to ditch him are jerks.

I’m deathly afraid of flying and yet this is one of my favorite podcasts. It helps my anxiety to learn the many steps that the aviation industry takes to improve safety after a crash. Gus’s enthusiasm for aviation is genuinely infectious, and I love Chris’s questions and commentary. Also side note: it’s super wholesome how Gus gives Chris props for his great questions. They have a great dynamic and are very engaging hosts. I’ll really miss this podcast when it ends. Excellent work, Gus, Chris and team!

This is such a great show for anyone into avionics. There is this great chemistry between almost a teacher and student. Very entertaining and highly highly recommended.

Love the podcast. Just started recently and so glad I did. I love the combo of a lay person and someone who’s basically becoming an expert. People don’t understand why Chris is on the show but they need to understand he is basically on the show to be one of us. It’s a great combo to have.
