She is the author of Achieving High-Heeled Success: 50 Ways for Career-Oriented Women to Succeed. “Early in my business I was bemoaning how over-committed tired, overwhelmed I felt. My spouse asked, ‘So who’s your boss now?’ It stopped me in my tracks. No one else was creating this problem, only me! Since I spend time working with female leaders and business owners on issues of value, boundaries, and clarity of vision, it was ironic that I needed to be my own coach. Is This on Your Radar?
Today we’ll talk about something most of us may not even know about—I know I didn’t until it was pointed out to me. I think we assume that if a close relative needed medical care and wasn’t able to speak for himself, we would be able to step in and get the best care for him. As we will see, that’s not necessarily the case if you don’t have the right important documents. Do you have an 18-year old or older, unmarried adult child? Or aging parents? Do you have their notarized Healthcare Directive? Do you know what one is? Do you realize that, if you don’t have the right set of documents, you, technically, may have no legal authority to get any medical information about your adult children or to make any decisions regarding their health, if they become ill, incapacitated or worse? Just something to think about, as students are graduating from high school or college and preparing for work and for you and your parents. By the way... are you an unmarried adult? Does someone have your Healthcare Directive?

Hear from an expert who tells you what to do without being overwhelmed. Fires, burglaries, and natural disasters occur every day, and some day it could be your home! BE PREPARED!
