I’m a reader… totally not a fan of listening only. This is also bc I struggle to stay focused and catch everything that’s said. But every time I listen to BIC, I hang onto every word. Anthony reminds me of my best friend. His pace of speech, personality, sense of humor, quick and relevant side notes, relatable culture references, and ability to tell a story and stay on topic keeps me LOCKED IN and trying not to binge so I don’t run out of episodes before he can make more. I’ve tried to listen to multiple podcasts and been impatient or annoyed with them. With Anthony, I’m giggling, gasping, and passing time with the bestie. If you’re an 80s baby 90s kid that loves true crime and cursing, you’ll likely enjoy this show. If you want exhaustive analysis and hosts who talk about the ghastly with holy reverence and tears, this isn’t for you. If you like irreverent commentary and wanna hear Millenniall storytelling about nuns p popping on a handstand, then this is for you. PS- If listening at the gym, please save your listening for cardio or machines, because you are liable to drop something from laughing if you listen from under free weights.

This is the kind of storytelling I need in my life. The throwback references, the way he tells the stories and his hilarious input is everything. I feel like I’m just getting the piping hot tea with a bestie that I haven’t seen in forever.

It’s very clear that the person who left the review about assault victims not being believed didn’t actually listen to the episode. I support women and believe victims and that is very apparent in all of the content I put out.

Funny and engaging! Don’t normally listen to true crime, but I love this show!

The fact that yu can’t be assaulted and be completely believed is why black women rarely speak out.
