Too much giggling
This podcast needs to be edited more carefully. I came here to get information about a c section scar. And while the info was good, it was hidden and distracted by excessive giggling and side bar jokes. Women’s health information is hard enough to access. Don’t make it harder and more confusing to access with your inside jokes and giggles. I think the conversation deserves more respect than that.

Great information, not always great delivery
I’ve been listening to this podcast while pregnant and learned SO much. And still have a bunch more episodes in my queue to listen to. They offer very balanced perspectives and cover a huge variety of topics. However, I do agree with other 1-2-star reviews that mention disappointment with co-opting the word “Kweens” for their title and too much giggling and laughing. As someone who previously worked in the birth space, I also find it pretty offensive the way they discuss some topics, such as substance use (“addicts”) and the way Karly talks about “Africa” as if the whole continent is one big stereotype.

I’m so sad this podcast has ended, but I’ve been listening to what is available and I’ve learned so much.

Such a loved podcast
I absolutely loved listening to these two women and I have been binge watching for the last few days . And even though a lot of things were shockingly real and scary I really appreciated the honesty . Thank you for the peace of mind and the knowledge I gained walking away from these podcasts . I will say that as a 2 time homebirth mom I had trouble locating the podcast because I was searching homebirth specifically . I came across your podcast because it was posted in a homebirth Facebook group ! So your hidden but a hidden gem for sure. Im going to miss listening to you guys .

Love it!!!
Too bad they are no longer making new episodes, but it’s definitely worth binging all the old ones! I’ve been listening to all the Birth podcasts through my pregnancy and this is one of the best ones if you’re interested in natural birth!

Not for me
I love all things birth, but I have no desire to listen to all the curse words.

My favorite birth podcast and I listen to lots.
I love how you keep everything interesting, great content, and have me laughing with you. I was just suggesting you guys to my new mommy friends as a great resource for all the things. Thank you for all you do. ❤️

Education for the modern woman.
I can't speak highly enough of this podcast. It's been hard living and being pregnant in a non-body positive and non-birth friendly place like Northern Indiana, especially during the time of COVID. I really do trust the information provided by these two and the credible guests they bring on their show.( I love me some scientific and anecdotal evidence.) It's refreshing to hear their perspective on all women's issues and it often feels like I'm listening to a couple of my friends chat and laugh together. I find their podcast so impowering and I reccommend it to all of the kween friends I know.

Too much giggling
I really enjoy the information but there is just an unbearable amount of giggling throughout the episodes. I have started the episode several times but each time have had to turn it off because the giggling is so distracting. These girls have a lot to offer, I wish they could tone this down. Some laughter and fun is great but every single sentence doesn’t require a burst of laughter.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!
This pod is fantastic!!! I live in the rural Midwest and there are very few resources in my area for natural pregnancy and birth. Not only do they provide amazing info but that are also freaking hilarious! There were so many days I was crying laughing in my cubicle at work. I am now pregnant with my 2nd and I cannot wait to go back and re-listen to every episode!!!!

Awesome and informational in a fun way
I just love listening to this podcast! I learn so much and I have some really good laughs!

Listener beware - racism and unchecked white women privilege
My wife listens to this podcast on the weekends and every time I listen to it, at best, I cringe at the white women’s unchecked privilege and absurd appropriation of language that is not theirs to use. The title of the podcast itself is appropriation. Recently we listened to an episode where they mentioned some client of theirs talking about their “nat geo” breast’s and my jaw dropped to the floor. These women lack such a basic, elementary analysis of racism and felt perfectly ok with repeating, and laughing, about a comment comparing someone’s post birth breasts to what you might find in National Geographic. It doesn’t take much to pick up on what’s been said here. Gross to listen to. Do better, please. For the sake of all the other unaware white women listening, sharpen your lens and consider the ways you perpetuate the status quo.

YASSSSSS KWEENS✨
Thank you for taking the time weekly to put this information out to women around the world! I love listening to you both talk because it feels like I’m sittings home with a couple of friends just chatting about life. You both supply such a multitude of knowledge through pre pregnancy, conception, pregnancy, & postpartum. Supplying us with evidence based facts that in the long run extinguish fear and set women for success in whatever season they may be in. You supply facts and tools which allow us as women to be more confident physically & mentally and for that I say THANK YOU! I am so happy I found this podcast and I hope it continues to grow! I love you Kweens💕

Love the hosts and the content!
I’ve only listened to a few episodes and I am already so so hooked!! I am a California girl living abroad (in Iceland) and I miss women who speak my language and I absolutely adore these two hosts. I just listened to episode 3 about nutrition and it was so incredibly informative and I really appreciate the work you two are doing! Thanks so much!

Love the way these Kweens deliver!
I have enjoyed listening to almost every one of these podcasts! The Kweens keep it real and keep me laughing!!! The only think I am not a fan of is the ads. I would definitely contribute to a Patreon to avoid the ads if you ever decide to change your practices.

Fun and informative!
These girls are just so much fun to listen to and very informative about all things birth related. Wish they were around when I was pregnant! Now I'm just learning the art of birth support. So grateful for this resource. Makes learning fun!

The best!!!
I am so thankful I found this podcast! I’m pregnant with my 2nd babe and planning a VBAC. When I became pregnant I decided to start educating myself more on pregnancy, labor, and birth so I was more prepared this time around. These Kweens have been amazing in my learning journey and have helped to me learn and gain more confidence in my path of brining another little soul into the world. Plus they are a crack up!

My friends Karli and Ally
I guess it’s about time I write a review for my dear friends Karli and Ally. While we don’t actually know each other I feel like the time we spend together during my work commute makes us friends. I could listen to these two talk about birth work, the lunch they had, their upcoming vacations and just about anything else. They bring information with experience and real knowledge in such a frank and honest way. I’m so proud to be a Kween!

Number 1 Fan
Well this is waaaaaayyyyy too over due. I have been a listener and TOTAL FAN GIRL since the beginning-ish...I was a few weeks late to their start date. I LOVE this podcast the most. Of all the wonderful ones out there, THIS is the podcast of all podcasts. I have purchased merch, V-Steam herbs (currently sitting on my box), listened to every episode, bettered my birth knowledge, and hired Ali to be my doula! Ali and Karly are women in my tribe whom I find comfort in their voices and believe in their research and knowledge. I’m going to miss getting to have Ali come by for prenatal visits but will enjoy geeking out on the Kweens birth world. Way to go ladies! I’m so glad you are apart of my world! 🧡

Middle Ground
Parts of me appreciate the real talk of this podcast and the less fluffy, rainbow, pony parts of birth that they cover. The other part of me often rolls my eyes when I hear flippant, privileged statements like “the homeless person digging through my trash” or other unnecessary labels and markers like that. I wish there were more episodes on the disparities of maternal health in America and how to undo racism in birthwork. There are SO many BIPOC voices in the birth world that need to be highlighted and Qweens, this is the platform to do it.

I’m 15 weeks pregnant and have listened to 10 episodes in the last 4 days. This podcast is the very best birth podcast out there, and these ladies know their stuff!!! I can’t believe how lucky we are to get all of this free information from such educated women. It’s definitely the gem of birth education out in the world!

LOVE x10
I’m an aspiring birth worker. This podcast is one of the first places I started when it came to research and learning, to decide if I wanted to pursue becoming a doula. I’m only a few episodes in, but I am inspired! LOADS of helpful information. I come back to each episode thrilled to learn more.

Eh
Some helpful info but mostly just banter and interrupting experts with more banter. If you can get passed it, you may enjoy it.

So great!
I’m not even a parent or birth worker, just the weirdo who has devoured all the episodes of this podcast. But honestly, it’s been great for me, especially the episodes about birth control and the pill with Lisa Henderson Jack. It gave me the motivation to quit hormonal birth control and the knowledge on what to do next! So thanks Queens!

Absolutely love y’all.
For a long time I’ve been searching for a job that I actually enjoy & want to do. I ran across y’all on Instagram & since I’ve been listing to y’alls podcast I finally know what I came here to do. I’m looking into becoming a doula now. I figured this was a sign from the universe since my name is Alli as well. Thank y’all for this amazing podcast. ❤️

I love these ladies! They are hilarious but also super informative. Lots and lots of eye opening information on women’s health in addition to pregnancy. Seriously want to be bff’s with these rad gals.

The friggin best
These ladies! They are informative, authentic, and hilarious. Instead of the typical tree huggin and granola munchin *other* birth podcast, birth kweens is real as it comes. I owe these girls, along with my birth team, for a successful natural delivery. Also love insightful on all other ladies health topics!

Excellent
Great podcast with so much information! My wife and I worked with both Karly and Ali with the birth of our son (before this podcast) so we already knew their fun banter. This podcast brings it up a level! Thank you, ladies, for doing your part to help educate new parents whether it be about birth or health in general.

Good, but...
I’ve been listening to this podcast for a little while. I trained to be a midwife years ago, Ive worked in academics (specifically exploring class & race issues in US maternal health care & motherhood in general), I’m pregnant with my 5th baby, this is up my alley. I’m skeptical of white women in this kind of work & how they may handle nuances of this specific field of health care. Still, I listen to this podcast- that co-opts the word Kween- because it does have good information. You also cut off Dr. Nicole Rankins an incredible amount in the episode featuring her...it was uncomfortable & wrong. And then here comes this most recent episode. Did you seriously say that class c drugs are the, “ones people lie to get” and that ibuprofen works, “just as well”? I truly hope you consider what saying that could mean to your audience because I truly hope your audience isn’t just privileged, upper class white women...though they too can certainly suffer from their own issues with drug use considering they are probably the ones with access to doctors & insurance companies who will fund whatever meds they need...or just simply want. I hope anyone clients you’ve served who may have issues with drug use won’t feel wounded by this....and I hope as practitioners you’re better than this. Or at the very least you’ll do the work, be accountable, & never say this kind of thing again. You’re serving people during a phenomenally complex time in their lives- one that is incredibly disparate for many groups of people in this country. Do better.

This is a great podcast for a student midwife like myself but I also like to recommend it to all my doula clients especially first time moms for great information on birth. :)

Love this!
I’m an L&D nurse and admittedly a birth nerd. I love this podcast! Funny, informative, and all about birth - does it get any better? Keep it up, ladies!

One podcast I happily re-listen to!
Oh my goodness, this podcast feels like lunch with your long time friend who happens to have an enormous knowledge base of birth, women’s health, and newborn care. I appreciate and and revel in every episode no matter the guest. They each bring their own sense of value and honesty. I have to tell you that although the podcast as a whole is SPECTACULAR, I am in love with the episodes with Monica! Her birth stories and her “research beast” methods make for some straight up entertaining and highly informative recordings. These ladies as a team have a special way of delivering crucial information while at the same time making the listener feel supported, encouraged, and like maybe I’m NOT failing as hard as I think I am. Thank you Karly and Ali (and Monica)!

28+3 weeks into my first pregnancy. Being very proactive and wanting all the education I can get, these ladies are amazing! I loved the birth plan episode and found it SO helpful!

Illuminating & Fun
I can't speak highly enough about this podcast. I have learned so much from Karly and Ali. I am in the world of birth as a labor and delivery RN and soon to be in school to obtain my nurse-midwifery degree. Above that I am a very emotional and curious creature with endless love for females and our complexity. So many of your episodes have answered numerous questions I have had for years and reinforced my intution regarding how my body works and what I need to do to honor and nuture it. You are normalizing feminine issues in a way that I believe is revolutionary. I often think, "how am I going to remember all this to teach my daughter some day so that she can make the most informed decisions and feel the most confident about her body!?" I know I know, a little over the top, but seriously, if I had known a lot of this stuff when I was a teenager and entering young adulthood, I may have had a lot more respect for my body than I did. Keep the info coming, Kweens!

Hysterical & informative
These girls crack me up and simultaneously teach me SO MUCH about pregnancy and post partum. They keep it real. I’m 5 months pregnant and couldn’t imagine going through this/planning without their input and all the info I’ve learned from them, lol. I feel like I’m listening to a very knowledgeable group of girlfriends.

Would Definitely Recommend
Aside from the inability to record the first 10 mins without incessant laughing and inside jokes, (I usually skip the first 10 mins of BS), this podcast is full of useful information. These Kweens know their stuff and aren’t afraid to ask good questions. I’ve told many a client to listen to their podcast, of course with the caveat that you’ll hear a few F bombs along with some truth bombs.
