After a little hiatus because of our ten year anniversary parties, the BTRMIX series is back! Joining us this month is one of Australia's most groundbreaking and exciting artists right now, @loicc! Creating footholds in both Naarm and Mulubinba, over the last few years Loïcc has cemented himself as one of east coast Australia's most influential producers, seemlessly blending Australian style psychadelic atmospheres and timbres with european contemporary bass music rhythms. Peppered in with influences of techno, trance, and breakbeat flavours, Loïcc's brand of percussion forward production and mixing is a truly unique marvel of the current music scene. Hello and happy February to you all! The next in the BTRMIX series is here and what better way to transition through the end of summer than a deep dank industrial mix from @milenze. For almost the last decade Milenze has traversed every corner of our city's electronic music scene. Under her current pseudonym, Milenze has found home with her truest passion of all, raw industrial techno. This mix draws influences from a number of adjacent genres, with flares of EBM, trance, acid, and electro, it truly shows how Milenze's range and diverse musical background has formed the DJ that stands before us today. Lock in for 1 hour of foot tappin' power with Milenze.

It's 2023, a fresh year, and the BTRMIX series is back for its 7th year! Marking the first mix in what will be a very big year for BTR, is long time friend of the label, bass music connoisseur and all round legend, @jakewindon. Jake has been making big moves over the last few years, transitioning from raver to DJ taste-maker. He brings an outlook on mixing driven by energy and deep dug selections. This mix is no different, an eclectic compilation of different styles of bass music, including grime, breakbeat, and UK Bass. Jeez louise would you bloody believe it's August already. This month for the BTRMIX series we have one of our humble city's favourite people and DJs, @swisherman! Known best as a roots member of Dunj and Mood Support, Swisherman has been a staple of Eora's effervescent bass scene for almost a decade now. Whether he's producing beats, spinning tunes, or commanding a dancefloor, Swisherman is a familiar face to almost everyone in the electronic music scene. Whilst possessing an eclectic taste ranging from techno to dubstep to house to hip-hop and more, this mix specifically takes us through Swisherman's love of minimal drum & bass, half-time, and other 170 BPM related flavours. So strap in for 90 minutes of murk, ambience, and steppers, as Swisherman brings us into the second half of the year with an absolute cracker of a mix.

After a brief hiatus the BTRMIX series is back to regular programming! Based in Mulubinba (Newcastle) is lover of all things bassy, techno, and weird, @n3bula_aus! Coming through the scene with a background in dubstep, techno, house and more, N3BULA's eclectic taste in music pushes her DJ sets to cover a huge variety of different sounds, rhythms and energy levels. In recent years she has played her part in supporting the growing underground music scene in Mulubinba, as well as becoming a staple down south too. In this set you can expect range of ambient inspired percussive bass music, breakbeats, electro and techno. Hop in for a journey of sub bass and polyrhythms.

Hello 2022. Miss the rave? We do too, but worry no more as we have 90 minutes of dancefloor fire to keep you going from the biggest marn of all, @jnr-5. Best known through the community for being everyone's favourite vinyl dealer, JNR has been an integral part of Sydney's bass community scene for the last decade. Transcending all limitations of genre, JNR seamlessly bounces through bass-leaning genres, 100% wax selections, with a collection that even Zero Freitas would be jealous of. This mix is no different. It's a day of milestones today, the final BTRMIX of 2021, and the big number 3-0! To mark the beginning of our dirty 30s, what better than 1 hour of pure hard NRG from the lovable local arachnid(canine), @Spiderdoggie Head honcho of the effervescent @MEGANESIA, Spiderdog in the last year has put Australian hard-dance/trance/techno on the map with a fortnightly show on Area 3000 Radio. With a decade bouncing between Australia's two most populous cities, there are few that have more experience as part of the hard techno community as Spiderdog. As above, strap in for an hour of pure NRG, including a ton of forthcoming unreleased material from the very first MEGANESIA release. Here in NSW, we've hit the end of the lockdown. The sun is shining, and what better way to celebrate this special month with some 2-stepping grooves from Inner West local, @bisoux2050. A staple of Sydney's bass music renaissance, Bisoux is known for her club-ready production and edits, bringing energy and fun back to the original garage sounds. This mix feeds us an hour of unstoppable steppers, wubs, and untzs, with familiar melodies and edits putting both modern and classic UKG sounds on exhibition. Crack open a tinnie, sit in the sun, and skank out to some delightful steppers brought to you by Bisoux.

Somehow it's October already?? 2021 has been a real whirlwind, but what better way to accept the crushingly increasing speed of time with some beaut ambient bassy sounds from our boy, the one and only @djarloski. Hot off his debut release on Big Ting Recordings(BTR001: Ritmo/Intersekt)Arloski puts down his production hat and picks up the DJ hat for one hour of ethereal bassy breaky sounds. FKA Alice D, Azzawi has been pushing a plethora of genres through Sydney for many years. Heavily involved with Asylum, Swerve, and Secret Garden (RIP) Azzawi doesn't lock himself down to any genre or style. Known for his vibey party time sets at Secret Garden, or his dark jungle rhythms at Asylum, no style of music is left untouched. For this mix, Azzawi gives us 1 hour of 100% pure vinyl goodness, exploring the deepest, wonkiest corners of the drum & bass spectrum. Expect minimal beats, future-hop vibes, and heavy basslines as Azzawi gives us our first BTRMIX for the year!
