Introducing Kataraina Davis
Recently, I went back and had a look at the stats for our podcasts to see what episodes are landing with you. What are you enjoying? And between the top two episodes, there's a pretty clear theme.
Our guest, Kataraina Davis, comes highly recommended. She is involved with a programme called Te Kaa which is building capability for people in Tikanga Māori and helping people to understand what Māori values, practices and worldview looks like.
There can be a lot of fear and guilt that comes up for non-Māori when thinking about how to work effectively with Māori.
If this is true for you, it might be a signal that there's some more learning for you to do. This episode is the perfect place to start.
In today’s episode you’ll learn:
- What does Māori designed innovation systems thinking look like in comparison to more European based ways of working?
- What is your role? If you're working in a non-Māori organization, what is your role personally?
- Why being the role model in relationship-building is vital in communicating the importance thereof.
- What does equal partnership between Māori and non-Māori organisations look like?
- How do we come to work being fully ourselves and whose responsibility is it to make this happen?
