Love it!
Beyond & Back is a fantastic podcast for anyone interested in creativity. I think the host, Krissy, has such a warm, gentle soul and that helps her guests feel comfortable opening up about their lives, their work, and their creative process. The editing is also top notch, so it’s a joy to listen to.

Insightful Questions
Krissy has a beautiful way of asking questions of her guests that elicit so much honesty and authenticity. She often invites her guests to reflect out loud, perhaps for the first time, the moments in their creative journey that mattered the most. SUBSCRIBE now, you won't regret it!

Familiar to favorite
I listened to this podcast on a whim cause I was exploring podcasts that involve the process of writing music or film as a songwriter and filmmaker myself. I started on middle episode cause I was just curious what Aimee Mann had to say and after enjoying that one so much I went on to others. All out of sequence but it doesn’t matter cause each episode is about growth and vision and Krissy does an amazing job driving while becoming the passenger at the same time. I listened to these out of the sense of familiarity I get from the creators speaking and Krissy’s voice too. Now it’s my favorite podcast and she’s pulled ahead of some really “big” podcasts I used to favor. Great job Krissy!!!

Beyond brave
Generally, art and most forms of creativity (including podcasts) follow a style that others have seemed safe—or dangerous in an acceptable set of parameters. This podcast and Krissy herself are so brave. She invites the listener and her guests to be vulnerable and real with themselves without the precondition that it be cool. I have found it immensely valuable and engaging. Keep it up!

Inspiring
The Aimee Mann podcast was so inspiring. You are such a thoughtful interviewer. It’s the best interview of hers I’ve ever seen or heard. So many things I wanted to know about her as a longtime fan. Really well done!

Great interviews
This is a terrific series and I can’t wait for each new episode. Krissy asks probing questions of serious artists and gets frank responses from them about their creative process and where they draw their ideas. The interviewees become more than their 3-D celebrity cutout and the listener can identify with their experiences (Yeah, Billie Joe, I had the exact same thought in high school!) As a voice actor currently focused on reawakening my creative side from too many dormant years, the series is particularly timely for me.

Into it
Love listening to the podcast. Krissy has a good variety of guests that aren’t over-saturated across other mediums and gets them to open up about their process more than just a boring interview. Look forward to more.

No Dream Killer
Krissy is definitely no dream killer. Her voice made me drowsy and I fell asleep. Definitely wouldn’t recommend listening to this podcast while driving.

DIY inspiration
I found this podcast to be highly refreshing and engaging. Krissy doesn’t waste any time with fluff, instead she gives a brief introduction and then dives in mid-conversation. The conversations themselves are raw, honest and thought-provoking. Krissy’s message here is that every human is inherently creative by nature and needs only to cultivate their own inherent process. Her podcast seeks perspectives from working artists, musicians, filmmakers etc who have discovered their individual processes and who happen to be real down to earth human beings with very practical yet poignant insight. Krissy’s authentic and disarming nature allows for real talk to flow and the conversations cut to the core of the matter in an effortless way. In a world of phoney flattery and spoon fed questions, I recommend this podcast to any working artist, aspiring artist seeking inspiration/insight or honestly any living human who may not have considered that they have the potential to develop their own unique creative voice. Beyond and Back offers invaluable guidance from real people who have experienced the discovery and development of their own DIY creative processes and put them into practice. A truly inspiring listen!!!

Inspiration on tap. Teegerstrom is a natural, getting people who make stuff and do things to talk about it. We, in turn, are inspired because it is real. Listening to this is like being at your best friend's kitchen table, talking unabashed about every little thing: which is everything.

Such a great creativity podcast!
Love listening to this podcast! Seriously needed to hear this creative wisdom and advice. So many things go into the creative process, and in this era of over stimulation online it’s nice to hear everyone struggles with ways to share their work, burnout, and even artistic blocks.
