Beverage Babes
Welcome to Beverage Babes—where we invite all women, with their favorite beverage in hand, to have a seat at the table and share their heart, their journey, and their experience with all the topics in life. At our table we’ll have a safe space where women can come together. We’ll celebrate differences and create an environment for healthy and honest conversation, even if we don’t all agree. This is a judge-free zone, ladies! We’re here to be real and to talk about things that might be hard to talk about, but we’ll honor each other as we do because you’re important, babe! Grab your drink of choice, and let’s dig in!
Episode 012 - 2020 Round Up with a Babe Named Brad
Hey, Babes,! Well here we are, a brand new year! Welcome 2021. We have waited for you like that cup of coffee you get to have the next morning and cautiously take you in, like a pair of jeans we aren't quite sure about just yet. But, you are here!   This new year brings so much potential. However, in order to walk toward that potential, we have to first stop and take a look back. We have to do a little rewind and take an inventory of the things that pushed us, grew us and made us better. But, we also have to see the things that were hard, that broke us, that hurt us and that felt impossible to get through in order to grow and stand taller in the person we are now, from then!  In this episode, we are doing a little bit of that. We are looking back at the year of 2020 but with a slight twist.  Our guest of honor is a babe named Brad, or in more descriptive terms, Sarah's husband Brad. He joins us as we talk through what 2020 has been, meant and looked like for The Beverage Babes, but also shares how he and Sarah do this very same thing each year.  Grab your drink and settle in, because this one...this is a fun one! Cheers!

Episode 011 - Tidings of Comfort & Joy
It's so hard to believe that this is our last episode of the year? Like, what? How did that happen? Has anyone else felt like March lasted about half the year and then there was a super awkward, trying to blink sexy but it really just looks like I have an eyelash in my eye, blink and here we are almost a week away from December? *Sarah raises her hand*  *Laura raises her hand*  Well, it has been a crazy journey called 2020 and we are so excited to bring in our very first guest from this year, Trish Groblewski (aka Mama G), back to give some much needed wisdom and encouragement.  In this episode, Mama G will share her heart from this past year, touching on areas of her life that were turning points and defining moments, similar to 2020 and how there really is hope ahead to look forward to.   We really love this episode and are so happy it's the finale of this year. We are trusting it will leave you feeling heard and known and encouraged for the hope ahead!  Grab your drinks babes and let's do this!

Episode 009 - Q & A With The Babes
2020 has indeed provided so many opportunities for all the emotions, all the feelings, and all the convos which we have loved having and can't wait for more! However, we wanted this episode to be a fun little break from our normal programming. We asked you—our listeners—to send in your questions, and in this episode we answered them (and threw in a few of our own to each other). These questions ranged in topic (what's our enneagram numbers?) and depth level (just wait till you hear what Sara's truly afraid of...) and we hope that at the end of this episode you will know us a little better and leave with a little less mental weight than you started.

Episode 008 - A Story Called Anna - Part 1
We all have a story. We all have pages that have turned, chapters that have closed and ones yet to be written. We all feel our stories day in and day out and sometimes we don’t love how it’s written or we’d like to erase, delete or write a second draft. Whatever it is; it’s our story. In this next episode, we get to hear all about Anna’s story. It is full of color, distinction, emotion, connection, some pain but lots of rawness and an ending not yet finished, but brighter than it began. Anna wants you to feel her heart, which she beautifully bares in order that people know they are not alone. That there is solidarity here and that you might leave this conversation feeling that exhale that you’ve been waiting for. To note: we do talk a bit about Anna’s faith and time in church, but if you don’t know what this means, please don’t turn off the episode. Her story is one you very well could connect with and it’s chalk full of honest conversation with a powerful message she wants you to here. So, grab that drink of choice and tune in!

Episode 007 - Figuring out Finances
Hey Babes,
Finances.
Everyone has some but no one likes to talk about them. Some have more than others, some have less than desired, but we all have a journey with finances that end up having a huge impact of the dreams we chase and the ones we tip toe away from.
In this episode, we get real and honest about finances, especially as it pertains to entrepreneurship. And as if finances were complex of a topic enough, we added the layer of three Sarah’s to the conversation. We (Laura and Sarah) speak to Sarah (Holland as she’ll be referred to), a stay at home/work from home mom of two and Sarah (Durkin as she’ll be referred to), a full time worker with a delicious side hustle.
We chat through the highs and lows of the financial pressure of doing your own thing in the working world, provide some insight into different spending and savings plans and highlight how each of us may have a different story, but the chapter on finances is almost always in the book.
We can’t wait to hear your thoughts on this one, so grab your drink of choice and let’s tune in.

Episode 006 - Getting to Know What Race Looks Like
The Beverage Babes, have been feeling our fair share of heaviness for the world we are currently living in and yet, there seems to be an overwhelming piece of hope and joy we feel too because things are changing.  People are learning, speaking up and advocating. People are looking to try and see the best in others and figure out how we can help each other. The phrase, “we’re in this together,” has never had more powerful meaning.
That’s why we are so deeply excited about this next episode release. We gathered some of our dear friends, some of us white, some of us black to have an open and honest conversation about race. This group of women are voices to be heard, hearts to be felt and people to know and we can’t wait for all of you to know them too.
The most exciting part? This is just the beginning.
We will be embarking on a race series on The Beverage Babes where we will get to know the above guests in a deeper way, where we will ask the hard/uncomfortable/awkward questions and where we will allow you, our listeners, to learn alongside us as we step into the endless possibilities of what change can look like.
With that, grab your drink of choice and come join the conversation!

Episode 005 - The Gift of Grieving with Naila Francis
Hey Babes, We know that life has looked different lately. It’s felt like an endless cycle of all kinds of emotions from excitement and refreshment to discouragement and exhaustion. This is a unique time we’re living in and our hearts can sometimes feel like they’re about to erupt. Life looks different and in that difference, there’s an element of loss. Loss of security, loss of normalcy, loss of routine, loss of graduations, weddings, and other events and for some, loss of life. It can often feel foreign to try and process the emotions attached to this loss and for some of us, we don’t even know what it is. Enter grief. Grief is hard to understand and often harder to talk about as it comes with stigma and discomfort. But, that’s exactly what we will be discussing during this next episode. We will be speaking with Naila Francis; a writer, interfaith minister and marriage officiant who recently started her own business, “This Hallowed Wilderness,” where she is a grief coach and death midwife. This conversation is filled with beauty surrounding the understanding, expression and support of grief and we know that you’ll leave the conversation with new insight and new space to feel confident around the concept of grief. So, grab your class and tune in....

Episode 004: Sarah's Business Busyness
We know right now can feel like a mean prank that just keeps going and going and going. However, we babes have been so encouraged about all that has been happening during this time of quarantine personally and in the world around us. Good things are happening. This episode is an example of that and we’re super excited for you to hear it. It’s a personal one for Sarah as she went through a whole season of PAUSE with her business even before this virus hit and she’s sharing with you some of the things she’s learned during that time and where to go from here. She learned a lot. She learned things she’s good at and things that are just simply hard for her and she’s hoping that by sharing some of her experience, you (whether a mom, working at home, working in corporate America, staying at home with your kids, chasing dreams or just being you) leave this conversation encouraged to be exactly who YOU are!  Grab that drink (Sarah made her very own Margarita) and listen in.
