Welcome to Between the Cuts, a podcast where we discuss the unspoken racial history, experiences, or facts surrounding black actors and actresses in Horror, Thriller, Sci-fi, or Fantasy Films and television shows. Media has oftentimes failed to adequately portray us; the visual storytelling on screen doesn’t stop when the director yells cut, there are stories within a story. I wish to understand the racial and societal influences within a film. I want to study the stories between the cuts.
