Eric is a Physiotherapist at Altum Health in Cambridge, Ontario who works primarily with patients suffering from persistent pain as well as concussions. Eric has a B.Sc. in Honours Kinesiology from University of Waterloo where he was mentored by Stu McGill and then completed his Masters of Physical Therapy at Western University in London, Ontario.
In this episode, Eric talks about prescribing exercise for patients suffering from persistent pain or have more serious psychological issues, why you shouldn't explain "pain science" to every single patient, exploring the notion that manual therapy always causes dependence, finding success as someone with a learning disability, and the importance of paying it forward to other professionals in the field as a way to give back for all the help he has received along the way.
