Not that Philly Cheesesteaks can’t be classy, but for episode 9 we’ve decided to push the pod into more sophisticated territory by taking a visit to the ever so stylish Monocle Cafe. Opened by Monocle in 2013, this place has everything you’d expect from a cafe run by a business lifestyle magazine in well-to-do-Marylebone: minimalistic design, rich mahogany interiors, leather-bound books, branded hand towels and a strict no crusts policy. So, after shining our brogues and applying some moisturiser, we strolled down to Chiltern Street to give our verdict on their signature lunch offering: the Chicken Katsu sandwich.
