"Cry me a river, build a bridge, and get over it," we used to say when I was a kid. That saying now has a completely different meaning, and I had to change it. Now that I've crossed the bridge, I might have to set it on fire. People say that burning bridges is a bad thing, but once a bridge is burned, there is no turning back, and if the goal is to move forward, it is sometimes necessary to burn what is already there. Let us go below the surface of dealing with our past and examine it with new eyes. Today, I'm sharing my story in the hopes that it will inspire others to burn a bridge they've crossed too many times. We've all been there, and for some of us, it's been impossible to get across.
