The podcast was recommended to me by a friend. I downloaded a couple episodes and found his advice basic, at best. Alf talks about being a man by facing your fears. His solution to anyone trying to lose weight, “stop putting junk in your mouth”. You would gather more inspiration from a Hallmark card then this podcast. Take the Pass Go and collect your $200.

I'm a woman who loves to listen to Alf, especially his stories from his childhood. Many of his experiences and insights resonate across the sexes. For a podcast directed towards the masculine, there is an extreme amount of tenderness in Alf's presentations.

This show is really amazing. Keep it up! Congrats.

Wow! Alf Herigstad has a truly honest approach towards the question, "How to be a Better Man?" I couldn't agree more with what Alf said in EP 153, patience, dedication, and giving 100% without looking for reward is the key to manhood. American society needs more men like Alf to speak up and guide the fatherless men in this country towards masculinity.

Alf provides a great perspective on gender and thoughtfully handles serious issues. I loved his quote, "We are the example of manhood to whoever's watching." An important reminder for all of us!

The fact that the podcast is generally published 3 times weekly is great. This allows for shorter podcasts and also gives a metaphorical shot in the arm throughout the week. Alf’s style, while far from PC (which I appreciate) is not that adopted by blowhards filled with righteous indignation. His to-the-point demeanor somehow remains both candid and kind. My son is 11, and we have listened to quite a few BABM podcasts together. I am also archiving them for my son and 8-year-old daughter to listen to as they grow older and have families of their own. Thanks, Alf, for your impressive and much-needed content. I hope more “adult males” will find your podcast and website and let your words of wisdom make them better men.

Alf's common sense and masterful delivery exalt him....he sounds like a true, powerful sage, like Zeus! This is a great podcast, an oasis, to ground yourself early in the morning.

I am a female but I still enjoy listening to Alf and his perspectives on Being a Better Man. I especially like when he talks about how he practices being a better man in regards to a situation with his wife. It's a great show with good insight that even females can learn from.

Wonderful story of Alf making his way to his grandmother's funeral as a young man, and in his earnestness to get there, made a foolish mistake. How someone's kindness and hospitality saved his life, saved future generations, including his 9 grandchildren.

Alf has a way of teaching that uplifts and inspires. A true leader.

"When you figure out what kind of unique value you can provide to other peple, then those people will give you money for it. That's how it works." I've often wondered at the disconnect between how corporations treat people and how the people who head up those corporations like to be treated. Thanks for inspiring me to continue my pursuit of my unique value - I think I've defined it; now I need to get the word out!

Driving down the road I found myself mentally planning what I could do today to improve over yesterday. I then realized that this direction in my thought was a direct result of this podcast and Alf's powerful but simple call to action: Be a Better Man Today then you were Yesterday. Deep and important concepts on manliness presented in a laid back and easygoing, storytelling way. Pulls no punches though. I listen to many podcasts but this is at the top of my list.
