A common trope in the LDS community is that Former members can leave everything they once firmly believed and held dear, but they just can't seem to leave it alone. For these members it confirms the validity of the underlying truths of their gospel.  The leaders of the church wearing latter-day masques of warmth and love does not entitle us to forget what their religious doctrines and policies are like when they think they can get away with it; current and generational. 

In September 2020, Brad Wilcox was a guest for the Sunderland England Stake Fireside Series. One of his remarks sparked a campaign in the ExMormon TikTok community. I used to wonder about this topic a lot, and my Skousenite upbringing had me curious...

This rhetoric was compounded upon the following conferences as he coined the lazy-learner mormon memetic. 

In this chapter and episode I read through chapter four of Anti-mormon Literature: Essays They Warned You About. It reflects on the nature of self and the For The Strength of Youth manual. 

Now the story of a Former Mormon who lost faith in everything but who had no choice but to help talk sense into the rest of the community.
