Happy Malcolm X DAY!!! This is a very special episode to celebrate the life and legacy of the Black Muslim Minister Malcolm X. He has been an inspiration in my connection to my deen and as well as my acceptance of my race and history. On this episode, I dive into into Malcolm X’s early life before Islam, his family life, his struggles as a black man in America in the 1960s and also his conversion to Islam. And I reflect on the lessons I’ve learnt from him, my own struggles as a black women growing up in Australia and the relationship between my faith and my race. In our first Chamber of Secrets episodes, I had the honour of interview my workshop facilator and event coordinator at the Akhirah Collective. Ramadan is coming to an end. After nearly a month of intense worship, we are bidding farewell to the crescentnmoon. As the month passes, it is significantly important to look back at it with joy and as well as gratitude for making our way through the month. It is an immense privilege to have witnessed the blessed month once again and insha’allah may we witness the next one. Be grateful and remember how much work it took for you to come out of the month completely transformed.

In times of difficulty and hopelessness, we often think of ourselves as doomed or our duas as impossible. But we forget to acknowledge that the One who created us and the heavens and the earth, has ultimate power to transform our lives. All we need is just Yaqeen, certainty that our Rabb is looking out for us and He knows what is best for us. Indeed, He is the best of planners.
