Actually had a drive to work this morning (I’m a work from home girl), I decided to listen to Becoming Brittany. That was a BIG MISTAKE. WAIT!!! Don’t stop reading!!! I wasn’t prepared for the transparency, the digging my soul and mind was about to do and the emotions that were going to come up and overtake me WHILE I AM DRIVING‼️I’m in therapy - good therapy - and have been for more than 18 months now - but JEEEEEESUS! The way Brittany unpacks the “it’s not them, it’s me” therapy was another dose of healing I didn’t know my soul needed. The tangible assignments and intentional changes she is challenging us to make had me feeling like “ok, I can do this, Brittany Morton is helping me”. This podcast is like someone is sitting in a coffee shop or even on your couch listening you and empathizing and understanding all you are feeling and going through. Then, she doesn’t just listen, empathize and provide a shoulder to weep on but she says do this and try this. I can’t wait for the next podcast. It makes us church folks get real, raw and relevant. I can be blessed and highly favored and still on a healing journey. I can be the favored of the Lord but feel like a broke down mess. All of that is allowed! Brittany, thank you for taking this on. Thank you for being my new BFF on this journey. Thank you for the transparency to show the world that you can be UBER successful and struggle with rejection, comparison and inadequacies. I can go on and on - just thank you. This podcast coupled with my therapy and the Word has me on a personal healing journey. Keep it up. You are truly amazing.
