This is what I was looking for! Honest biblical and uplifting!

Recently become familiar with John after reading his book steps several times it’s a very content dense book and it just very helpful. I was an Al-Anon years ago and those principles are just so good and anyway the book was great and I really like his condemnation thing I did during lent and anyway I really like listening to his little five minute blurbs and they’re just really helpful to help me abiding Christ, so thank you

This podcast helped change my mind and heart. It helped me align more accurately with the way of Jesus. It gave me freedom from strongholds in my mind and heart that I didn’t even know were there. Thanks for helping me in freedom and growth in Christ.

This podcast is a big part of my daily spiritual development - and that of a handful of close family and friends too. John, you have no idea how much you are shaping me in my walk with Christ. God has worked through you - in your message - many days to reach, guide, and encourage me. Thank you for doing what you do - for sharing such wisdom and vulnerability to bless others. I attended MPPC for a few years over a decade ago, before moving, and while it was a blessing to learn from you there, God is using you in my life in even bigger ways now.

Every time I open this podcast it blesses me. John often makes me smile or even laugh. Often I wipe a tear from my eyes, but I always feel God’s presence and love radiating from John.

According to Google, Whoopee is defined as “expressing wild excitement or joy,” and I cannot help but share that sentiment while encouraging you to engage with this podcast. My favorite amongst all the series is the one on Forgiveness. It is a tangible way for me to forgive and be a more forgiving person in general. I have found all of the series to be helpful in following Jesus in my day-to-day. Worth it.

I so enjoy the authentic, relatable teaching of John and his guests. Every day offers hope in a world that often seems chaotic and discouraging. Becoming New reminds us that we each have a story and a unique walk with Christ. Treat yourself to a few minutes with John daily.

John Ortberg & his staff/family/friends help me start my day pointing my heart in the right direction. The teachings remind me of the little pray I learned as a child & still use today: “God be in my thoughts. God be in my words. God be in my heart.” We all know where your heart leads so your actions follow.

Bursts of wisdom, empathy, from a man deeply grounded in the word of God, church history, and God’s love. Read his book “Soul Keeping”, a classic.

John talks about Jesus in passing and all the other books his reads take center stage. He is NOT as into Jesus as he is into Dallas Willard. Why is that?

So glad to be hearing from John Ortberg in this way. He is down to earth and comes across as a normal guy….just like the rest of us, although very wise and studied. After everything he and his family have been through he continues to give and teach, support and love. Greatly admired, greatly respected. Worth a listen.

John Ortberg brings so much to us in this daily podcast. He is an avid reader and theologian and presents insights from great minds. Everything he presents is biblically based and full of wisdom.
