Honest Opinion
I’ve listened to Morgan and Good Soil for many years and have found his conversations and teachings very helpful for myself and other men seeking to grow in their understanding of God and themselves. His approach, rooted in Wild at Heart took a deeper dive into masculinity and the call God has upon men today. It was raw, unique and easily shareable with other men, religious or not. He spoke to a part of most men that has been repressed or ignored by much of the church at large. He created a space to be, and to discover. To ask any questions and get no BS answers. It was refreshing.
Fast forward to the current show and much has changed and that’s OK. Morgan has every right to take the show in the direction he feels God is leading. Cherie is a wonderful person with very deep insight and often brings wisdom and weight to the conversations. But I do find myself agreeing with another reviewer- missing what the show used to be. In my humble, selfish, opinion, the Morgan and Cherie show should be a separate program, with Morgan doing his old style solo show with occasional guests.
Thank you Morgan for your dedication and commitment to truth and being a guide to so many. You and your wife are 5 star people. But for me, for now, the show is a 3 for the reasons listed above. God bless!

Masters of Metaphor
I look forward to this podcast every week. It was really good when it was just Morgan, but it is even better since Cherie started hosting with him. Morgan and Cherie are masters of language and metaphor for capturing the essence of the with-God life. There is something about the way that they describe things that resonates deep within me and gives me new insight into my spiritual walk with God. I celebrate that God has gifted them with such intentionality and perspective that wakes up my soul and stokes the fire to keep growing within me.

Surrendered
I used to really enjoy Morgan’s podcasts. Both become good soul and when he was on Wild at Heart. I was excited when he went out on his own. But, he has seemed to surrender the ideas he originally had. Now it is “Buddy and Share-Bear” Morgan has ceded much of the show to his wife and it’s neutered the original show and turned it into something that I’m not able to stick with. I hope at some point Morgan follows in the Wild at Heart footprint and separates the male and female aspects of the show and takes back Kingship over the podcast. His wife can always start her own podcast about her topics and interests.

Transforming Message
A few years ago, I read Becoming a King by Morgan Snyder. Through many of life’s trails, difficulties, joys and just a lack of discipline on my part, I have now circled back to this message that was once doing a good work in me. I am grateful for Morgan’s call and message to us as men. It is teaching me valuable lessons such as seeking mentorship and submitting my ideas of king to Gods plan for my Kingdom. Seeing now if I would have stayed on the path less traveled, the last few years would have been a lot less rocky, but I know God is working it all together for His Kingdom.

A call to more
Morgan calls you to more. More of Jesus. More of Godly manhood. It is a challenge to find greater integrity and wholeness of your heart.

Morgan makes a difference in men’s lives. My life is richer and my experience of Jesus is better because of listening in to this teaching.

It won’t be easy but it will be worth it
I have listened to Morgan for going on 9 years. He has found the pearl hidden in a field. Just like in Jesus’ parable, this is the kind of hidden treasure where you go home, talk with your spouse, then sell EVERYTHING to buy the field. Become Good Soil has become for me a beautiful trailhead, with signposts that point to the ancient but narrow paths to the kingdom of God.

A trusted companion through the lowest lows, highest highs
I discovered this inspired work as my marriage was crumbling. I don’t have the “God saved us” story. But I DO have the “God saved me anyway” story. The recent episode with Bill Lokey blew my heart and mind. Thank you Morgan for listening to God‘s call! We need it. ❤️🙏

Changed My Life
The content within the Become Good Soil message, not exclusive to the podcast, has literally changed my life. In 2019 I was at an all time low of confusion and fatigue. Lost my job, was seemingly on the brink of losing my marriage, and was found with my hands in the air of surrender. Through an AD on Instagram, I was introduced to Becoming a King. And since that day, my life has been full of one step after another in the right direction. I feel I found my lungs again, my place again, and my ability to be the man that God meant when he meant me. Thank you Morgan, thank you Become Good Soil.

Kingdom ministry
Morgan and the whole team at Wild at Heart ministry have greatly impacted my relationship with Jesus this year. Every book and every conversation I’ve listen in on through their website or this podcast has given me so much to think about. Their message is so upside down but I’m not surprised because their focus is on the Kingdom of God and His Kingdom is an upside down Kingdom.

Never quit
Stepping into who we really are, despite all other sources of distraction, confusion and opposition, is the journey of man. Navigating that journey well is the narrow road along which only true kings travel. The endpoint to which are waking is the same, but the path along which we will travel varies by the man. Yet, we can’t do it alone, and we weren’t meant to. This isn’t just another podcast to help you live a better life. This is a community of like-hearted brothers, kings and fellow sojourners on the path to something more. Life; true life. Freedom, victory, love and life. And it’s typically found in the last place you’re thinking. Lay your ego at the door. But definitely come in if you’re a man called to more and committed to receiving on God’s terms, in his time, for his glory and the good of his people.

Wow!
I wish I had found this pod cast in 2014 at the start of it! It speakers to my heart! It’s like someone understands my brokenness and gives me hope and tools to do better. I thank God for you!

Phenomenal podcast for discipleship and formation
Becoming Good Soil has been an incredible gift to my soul. Morgan always leaves listeners with a few thoughtful quotes to ponder for following days, a few laughs from his stories, and a few new motivations to become better men and women of God. I love the attitude that he takes to this podcast and for his vulnerability, especially in episodes on marriage with his wife.
I’m a huge fan of this podcast and so thankful for the ministry that God is doing through Becoming Good Soil! Thank y’all!

Take the time
This podcast is not for a popcorn quick thought of the day. If you want to uncover deep truths about a myriad of character challenges, take the time to listen several episodes.
SWEET😆😊
it was NOT just a show
From one podcast creator to another, thank you! Your conversation with Jonathan David Helser ministered deeply to me and was handled with great respect and honor. It was like the holy spirit came through ya'lls conversation. Thank you for how you approached those conversations. Well done!!

Spiritual Growth is Found Here
Men, if you’re looking for the treasure in the field that Jesus spoke of, it is here with Morgan and the Ransomed Heart team. Amazing content (especially loved the Dallas Willard/Michael Cusick Interview).

My favorite podcast
This podcast has been life changing for me. The content and interviews speak to my heart and desires with an accuracy I've not found elsewhere. I listen to each episode multiple times. I agree with the previous reviewer that the accompanying blog is also exceptional.

More than expected
In my late thirties I have not found a podcast that speaks more to the biggest struggles of my heart than the Become Good Soil Podcast. I slowly am working through the list of podcasts because I must go back and listen to them again and again so I can absorb all that pours forth. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing this journey through this podcast.

These kinds of podcasts are rare...
It’s hard to find a real, honest and character building podcast that really speaks to the heart of those deeper issues that are rarely talked about. This is one of those podcasts. Can’t recommend it more. Also Morgan’s blog is fantastic as well!

Great stuff
I have been following his blog almost from day one, and now am listening to his podcast. Talk about great guidance in wading through the stuff inside you. Brings great thoughts to the table.

Character over kingdom
If you’re serious about building your character, if you’re willing to take the pain that will accompany excavating and relearning what you know so far, and if you seek to live a life of purpose, passion and integrity, then I encourage you to listen to Morgan. He’s the real deal and will be your journeyman as you travel the narrow road.
