In this brief episode, I go over the basics of CLT (Cognitive Load Theory) and how the Flipped and Blended Classroom models help in the switch to a mode that helps move the cognitive load to the student.  I discuss the benefits of the models with a very brief overview.

In this episode, I discuss the concepts of the SAMR (Substitution, Augmentation, Modification and Redefinition with Tech,) DOK(Depth of Knowledge) and UDL (Universal Design for Learning.)  I am introducing these concepts because they are essential tools when creating tech-based lessons.  In future podcasts, I will refer to these models in reference to how different tools can be used to apply their concepts.  Hopefully, this brief introduction will explain a bit about what the models are and how they are used to create a more robust lesson with the use of technology.
