Faith is having complete trust or confidence in someone or something. It is also defined as a strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof. Hebrews 11:1: "Now faith (pi'stis) is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." This passage concerning the function of faith in relation to the covenant of God is often used as a definition of faith. Freedom is the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved. ( release, delivery, discharge) Freedom generally, is having the ability to act or change without constraint. Something is "free" if it can change easily and is not constrained in its present state. Constrained is appearing forced or overly controlled. Freedom is not forced!! The freedom Jesus offers is not only the forgiveness of sins, but freedom FROM sin -- to no longer be enslaved to sin! 2.
