So Boston land their Ace as David Price signs on at Fenway. Andy mourns the loss to Toronto and Gary is delighted that Boston at last have a true Ace. Greinke signs for the D'Backs - no really he actually did and the Giants enter panic mode and hand out $90 million and 5 years to the 2015's worst pitcher in the AL !! The Yankees have signed......er nobody of note, while the Dodgers have a massive hole in their rotation. Where will Cueto end up now ? But the biggest question of all why has Andy not seem a Mountie in his time in Canada ?

As we enter the home straight of the MLB regular season, Gary & Andy cast their eyes over the runners and riders that remain in the race as they make the sprint to the finish line. They shake their heads and cry into the beaten docket that is the Washington Nationals. After considering the chances of the clubs that still have a hope of playing October ball the lads then consider among other things - Matt Harvey innings limit, Why didn't the Red Sox keep Cespedes instead of Hanley Ramirez? Amaro Jr getting his jotters and the start of the NFL season.

So the Canadian Mounties have located Mr Andy Gibb and broke the news that not only are the Blue Jays good again but they have signed Tulo and Price forcing Andy to get on skype to gush to Gary about his Blue Jays. We also look at the Mets - could this rotation be the best baseball has seen ? The Yankees - was not strengthening at the deadline a big mistake ? Will we see post season handbags if Toronto meets Kansas ? And we look back at football in 1993 the year the Blue Jays last made it to the dance. The big Five-Oh for Bases Loaded podcast. If the Jays keep winning we may see the mid 50's by next week !!!

Andy and Gary manage to get their schedules to align to discuss Max Scherzer's broken-up Perfect Game bid, A-Rod's entry into the 3,000 hit club, the terrible voting system for the All-Star game and who should be going to the Midsummer Classic if it was up to them. Enjoy.

In epsiode #48 Gary & Andy take a look at how a quality Bull Pen is an absolute essential to succeed in MLB. Andy skims over the career highlights of this weeks chosen uniform number (well his namesake did win the UK general election). The opening 35 games are covered in scant detail and we both wish for the speedy onset of various geriatric conditions in order to slow down the Yankees impressive start. Oh and Gary still thinks Clay Buchholz is the Ace in the Red Sox pack.

With two series in the book for each MLB club Gary & Andy look back at week one and pretend that such a small sample of games is actually significant. They try to explain what the triple slash line is and their attempts will probably leave listeners none the wiser (just wait until they attempt to explain the infield fly rule). Andy looks forward to getting on 'Kiss Cam' during opening night in the cheap seats at the Rogers Centre and Gary bemoans the fantasy baseball trade market for Clay Buchholz.

In the last of our Divisional previews Gary & Andy look at the once mighty AL East. Gary unsurprisingly thinks the Red Sox will go worst to first again while Andy has his usual annual pre season optimism for his Blue Jays. Are the Yankees really too old to challenge? Can the Orioles find a way of replacing Cruz's 40 Dingers?
