For want of a nail the shoe was lost.
For want of a shoe the horse was lost.
For want of a horse the rider was lost.
For want of a rider the battle was lost.
For want of a battle the kingdom was lost.
And all for the want of a horseshoe nail.
How many “nail” scenarios do we all hit every day
Action Plan for tomorrow? Nail.
Bed Time? Nail.
That alarm clock? Nail.
The Workout? Nail.
Reading and Self Development? Nail.
Nutrition? Nail.
Timeliness? Nail.
Overall Self Discipline? Nail.

A lot of times people say they can’t help how their brain works
That’s bullshit.
The brain is a muscle.
It can be trained. Actually, wether you know it or not, you train your brain every day.
So you need to train your brain to take responsibility for its thoughts. And you do this by planning
Plan tomorrow.
Average people take tomorrow as it comes
People on the next level do their best to plan in the morning, that’s a step in the right direction but we’re still a little behind the 8 ball there. The day is already going. It’s easy to get out of bet then fall back asleep because your purpose for the day isn’t clear
High Performers plan tomorrow how it needs to be and they make it happen.

What we SHOULD be looking for every single day are NEW WAYS to GET uncomfortable
We need to do this so often and with such an INTENSITY that it becomes an addiction-to the point where you develop a NEED to be uncomfortable

This is probably the most important element of becoming a good leader aside from “Selflessness”. And that’s Unmitigated Reliability.
Everyone knows at least one or two people who we'd call "go to players"
Every time they get the ball, It just seems like they can't drop it.
And most of us Want to be one of these kind of people-
they're admired, respected, and looked up to.
Whatever they set their mind to gets done. Whatever their team or leader needs them to do, It gets executed aggressively and quickly.
But here's the thing- almost NO ONE is just "born" this way. They BECOME it. Through their environment and through formative experiences.

So many people will tell you that you have to go slow if you want to "go far" of "do things the right way". That's bull.
Are there some things that need some time to accomplish? Yeah absolutely.
The problem is that 99% of people who say "slow is the only right way", are saying it for the wrong reasons.
1. They're using "Patience" used as a crutch or an excuse why they're not further along in their business, fitness, relationship, or life.
2. They're afraid if YOU decide to go fast (i.e "do what they weren't and are not willing to do"), then you'll pass them up twice as fast!
