I personally find discussions about climbing performance very boring, but tangential topic around climbing very interesting. These elite climbers like Nina, TChen, and Sean Bailey are also normal human beings who has opinions, values and interests other than climbing, which interests me more than their climbing abilities. I hope they continue to not sugar coat any of their opinions and speak their mind, because it is important for the climbing communities, especially younger climbers or newer climbers, to hear from their idols, the nuanced conversations about what is acceptable and what is not.
